However, MORNING SPIRIT only found subsequent winner De Young Warrior too good in a 17-runner handicap over C&D last time and he could go one better off a 2lb higher mark.

A small but competitive contest, in which narrow preference is for the unexposed TRELAWNE. Kim Bailey's charge was hugely impressive when making a winning debut over an extended 2m2f here last month and this longer trip is unlikely to bother him. Flemenstide built on his Ascot success when runner-up at Wincanton and he warrants plenty of respect with cheekpieces now equipped, while Blackjack Magic has a definite chance despite having to shoulder a double penalty.
