COACH BOMBAY has definitely responded well to the blinkers that were applied for the first time in January and he hasn't finished outside of the frame in three starts. The dual course scorer is 2lb lower than his last winning mark and had Doonard Prince (third), Chatterton (fifth) and Victor's Beach (sixth) behind when finishing runner-up here a fortnight ago. County Wexford was successful over C&D on his all-weather debut last week and has to be respected for a powerful stable. Roter Baron is relatively lightly raced and another who got his head in front for the first time here when last sighted.

A wide-open heat with any number holding claims and only a tentative vote can go the way of ASIAN WING. The six-year-old has shown up well of late, most notably when third over this C&D last month, and the return of Pat Smullen to the saddle can only be viewed as a major positive. Windward Passage won two events on turf last summer and although unraced on this surface, makes obvious appeal taking on lower rated rivals off level weights. He is entitled to go very close but slight preference is for British import POITIN, an impressive winner on only her second start on these shores here three weeks ago and one with the potential for considerable further improvement now. Despite flopping last time, Shes No Joke boasts plenty of solid form around here, with Appease another who could show up well.
