Spiders Star wasn't too far away from defying a 6lb rise for her 2m Beverley success over the same trip at Catterick last week and, dropped in class, she should play a leading role. The handicapper may just have her measure, however, and preference is for MUSTAJED, who is rated only 3lb higher than for his 1m2f Newbury success. Rod Millman's charge found only one too good on his sole outing over 2m last year and can go one better. Heart Of Dubai arrives in good heart and completes the shortlist.
Ritsi ran well at Hamilton a fortnight ago and is dangerously well handicapped, but the vote goes to Hi Dancer who was an eye-catcher at Ripon last time. Mustajed is in fine fettle and also ought to give it a good shot, as should Sendali.

Newcastle fourth Commanche is open to further progress, while Magic Bounty found 7f a little too far when achieving the same position first time out at this venue. Electrickery also showed ability on debut but they don't set an insurmountable standard for the newcomers to aim at and it could pay to side with a debutant. Al Khan, Bartolomeu, Divine Success and Methaen all represent yards capable of readying a juvenile but the tentative vote goes to O'GORMAN, a 63,000-euro half-brother to speedy juvenile Temple Meads representing the Kevin Ryan stable.
Commanche, plus the once-raced pair Magic Bounty and Electrickery, have all shown enough to think they can take a hand, but it would be no surprise were a newcomer to land this. Preference is for O'Gorman, with Al Khan and Divine Success also high on the list.

Market support for either Needwood Park or Awjila, who make their racecourse debuts for red-hot yards, would be of interest but experience could prove the decisive factor in this heat. My Own Way Home went close over C&D but the profitable selection may be VIZEAN, runner-up on her last two outings. Ed McMahaon's inmate finished well clear of a subsequent handicap winner in a 6f maiden at Warwick latest and boasts the highest official rating among those to have qualified for a mark.
Vizean is not a world beater but sets the standard here nevertheless. The 3 newcomers, Green Howard, Needwood Park and Awjila, all have plenty going for them from a pedigree perspective and need monitoring in the market.

After a promising fourth on reappearance at Goodwood, SUBMISSION added to his Kempton success when narrowly landing a 1m Nottingham handicap on fast ground. Luca Cumani boasts an excellent strike-rate at this venue in recent years and his progressive filly can defy a 4lb rise, although she could be given plenty to think about by Gracefield. A 1m winner on debut at Nottingham, the Godolphin filly struggled in a hot 1m2f Listed event at Newbury next time but returns to 1m to make her handicap bow off a fair mark. Christmas Light can lead the rest home.
Submission only scraped home last time but there were mitigating circumstances, and she appeals as the type to keep on progressing. Christmas Light and Kerrys Requiem rate the main dangers.

On her first outing since landing a Chester maiden last September, SENSE OF PRIDE was only headed in the final 50 yards on his handicap bow over 1m2f at Sandown last month. Entitled to strip fitter for that run and bred to relish this longer trip, the lightly-raced four-year-old looks the one to beat. The Caped Crusader lost out by the shortest of margins in a similar event at Ripon latest but is rated 3lb higher now and a bigger threat may be posed by Patavium, a C&D scorer who doesn't look harshly treated by a 4lb rise for his recent one-length success at Musselburgh.
Sense of Pride and The Caped Crusader could fight this out, with preference for the former who is unexposed and bred to relish this step up in trip.

Miss Polly Plum proved her 6f Lingfield success was no fluke when easing down to follow up very comfortably on good ground over 5f at the same venue latest. Chris Dwyer's charge has been hit with a 15lb hike for that success, though, and could be worth opposing with BOSUN BREEZE, running well in defeat of late and now rated 1lb below his highest winning mark. Mandalay King returned to form with a bang at Hamilton last week and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to halt him if in the same mood.
Despite shooting up 15 lb for her latest Lingfield success Miss Polly Plum remains of interest, but it could still be worth chancing Milton of Campsie, who was only narrowly beaten over C&D off the same mark around 12 months ago. Crimson Cloud could easily bounce back from a below-par run last time.
