In what looks a tricky puzzle for punters to solve, it could pay to side with John Pregman's REAL ERRE. He caught the eye in a recent workout and will be fancied to make a winning debut this evening. Badtothebonesteve looks sure to play a leading role on his return after a long lay-off, while Zipperstuck is another in with a shout.
SMOKIN WARRIOR was far from disgraced when third over 4 1/2f at Philadelphia last month and, with much less on his plate tonight, he could prove the one to be on over this longer trip. Legends Way is taking a slight drop in class and can make his presence felt here, while Pleasant is another worthy of consideration.
WILD REPENT didn't appear to get home when third over 6f at Gulfstream latest and gets the vote to regain the winning thread dropped in trip and grade this evening. Draft Pick is entitled to have learnt a great deal from his debut third and could give the selection most to think about, while Naturel Resources is another with claims.
GIANT WRECKER wasn't beaten too far in a Grade 3 event at Calder latest and, with a much easier task ahead of him tonight, he could prove far too strong for these rivals. Wooden Stone won in gritty fashion over this track and trip last time out and is unlikely to go down without a fight, while Silent Roar is another for the short-list.
C V SLEW was mightily impressive when scoring by 9 lengths at Laurel last month and, with that confidence-booster under his belt, he gets the confident vote to follow up this evening. Cherokee Focus was narrowly touched off at Gulfstream latest and is entitled to have his say in the outcome here, as is Anthony Dutrow's Mobo.
BORN TO BE produced a gallant effort in defeat when third at Keeneland last month and looks like the one that they all have to beat dropped in trip tonight. May Meeting looks sure to go close if leaving her recent mishap firmly behind her, while Dattts Baby Selina is another who cannot be written off.
ONLY FOR NOW made a pleasing debut when second over 1m here last month and, with improvement on the cards, could take all the beating over this longer trip. Coach Shaw faces his easiest task to date and rates the biggest threat, while the Timothy Ritchey-trained Patrick's Tack is another of interest.
BARCOLA failed to land a blow in a Grade 2 event at Nad Al Sheba latest, but he is taking a significant drop in grade this evening and will be strongly fancied to regain the winning thread. Awfully Smart looks sure to mount a bold bid on his return after a lengthy absence, while Angliana could be another worth noting.
YOU DON'T LISTEN stepped up on a string of placed efforts when landing the spoils at Penn National latest and, with that confidence-booster under his belt, he could take some stopping in his bid to follow up. Rushbuckler won in gritty fashion at Aqueduct last time out and looks set to battle it out for the silver medal with Longhorn.
SHALL WE DANCE BW flattened out in the closing stages when fifth over 1m in a Grade 1 event here latest and could prove a tough nut to crack dropped in both trip and grade this evening. Sey Lady Proof finished a creditable fourth at Los Alamitos last time out and warrants the utmost respect here, as does Surreal Cs.
