Although it was a poor contest that Snicker's Mill got touched off in last time, he has to be considered once again in another moderate event, as he did manage to record a decent speed figure. KENTER was well beaten on his reappearance last month but that was in a stronger race and he has never raced at a level this low. One of his best efforts to date came in a decent maiden over this trip and he's the one to beat here.
Another moderate contest and it could be left to STORM PEACE to land the spoils. He has recorded higher speed figures than many of his rivals and although much of his racing has come over shorter trips, he should be good enough to account for the rest of this field. It's Kobe has some decent form but his record at this trip is poor and he may need a step up in trip again to be seen at his best.
DIAMOND DAVID is likely to be fully tuned now and improvement is likely on his third start of the season. He has been weakening in the straight on his runs so far but looks capable of lasting home today. Arty should be suited by the return to the turf and looks the most obvious alternative to the selection.
Although he was a little disappointing on his return to action last time, CAT'S REVENGE put in enough good efforts last year to suggest he can lose his maiden tag here. He may have most to fear from Heros Among Us, who can finally finish in the money today, and One Sea, who was a winner over fences at Great Meadows back in October.
MY LORD was beaten less than two lengths on his reappearance and with that pipe-opener under his belt he looks the one to beat. Hands On, who re-opposes today, was in front of him on that occasion, but the selection is taken to improve past him. Splendeed ran in a $100k race last time and cannot be ruled out here.
Recent winner Solar Man takes a step up in class today but he still may be up to making the frame at a decent price. The most likely winner is LOVE THAT MUSIC who has a higher speed figure than most of his rivals and many of his performances from last year would have been good enough to take this. The return from an eight month break is of little concern as he won on his reappearance last year and is taken to do the same again. Snipewalk made a good reappearance and rates as the main danger.
Catvantageous put in a good performance in an allowance race last time when losing by just half a length and recording a good speed figure. That was also his reappearance run so he should have come on since then. He has had a number of chances now though and it could pay to side with the twice-raced KILBRIDE RD. His latest maiden run was a sound effort and he is open to plenty of improvement.
