IDEAL still looked green on her third outing at Cork this month, running wide on the bend and eventually finishing fifth. She's clearly progressing and, with this drop in trip likely to help, is taken to break her duck tonight. Mojita is another progressive sort and could prove the danger, although she's impressed over longer trips. Amhrann Ellen has been well held on her two starts but is going the right way and might not be too far away.

Watch out for: Mojita (4)

A weak fillies maiden and Ideal looks the obvious selection dropped in trip and fitted with cheekpieces. Tafjeer and Mojita look the most viable alternatives.

After a short and unsuccessful hurdling campaign, Porthaw was fifth over 1m2f on the Flat at Naas this month and has claims here on that effort. Murindo, after a close third over 1m3f at Limerick, found the trip beyond him when well beaten over 2m1f here last month. He should be more at home over this distance but is passed over in favour of CELESTIAL PROSPECT, a close fifth in a 1m4f Roscommon handicap this month. Back in maiden company, he can open his account at the fifth time of asking.

Watch out for: Murindo (3)

Leaves You Baby brings the best form to the table but that has all been achieved on polytrack, so a more solid option could be Murindo, who shaped well on debut before finding 2m a stretch here last time. Celestial Prospect looks a sound place option.

Reasons Unknown went close at Navan three starts ago but has disappointed since. Golden Starlet was just pipped over a mile at Gowran Park and could benefit from this longer trip but it might be worth taking a chance on ROI DE BOEUF, who has shown little in two runs in Ireland but was an all-weather winner in England and has run well on turf off higher marks. He's clearly capable of winning a race like this and the fitting of first-time blinkers might bring about an improved effort.

In a wide-open contest, it might pay to give another chance to THE LAST STAND. The nine-year-old hasn't won for two years but showed a welcome return to form when a close third over 1m1f at Gowran Park this month. He should be helped by the extra furlong tonight and can score here despite a 3lb rise in the weights. Rosa Dieci, well weighted on her best efforts, could be running back into form and may prove the biggest danger, although chances could also be given to Follyfoot and Quarton.

Plenty in with chances here but preference is for the progressive LUCK PENNIE. He turned in his best effort to date when a close fourth over 2m1f at Killarney this month and has very little to find on that performance to land the spoils tonight. Galloping Gander was a well-held third over this trip at Punchestown latest but is another going the right way and could be the one for the forecast. Tom Horn is a nicely-bred sort who could make an impression on his hurdling debut.

It may be worth taking a chance here on the race-fitness of AMAZON WARRIOR, who hasn't been out since last August. Two good placed efforts in similar races at Tramore and Galway showed the penny had dropped and if she's shown any improvement over the winter, she should be up to scoring here. Clara More is somewhat flattered by her form figures but could be given a good chance on her best efforts, while Jackieandy was a maiden hurdle winner at Tralee but that was three years ago and she's struggled since in handicap company.
