Tom Dascombe was responsible for the winner of this race last year and his filly Van Go Go warrants respect hoping to complete the hat-trick, but LILY'S ANGEL looks the one to beat. She hasn't put a foot wrong in both visits to the racecourse thus far and there should be plenty more to come. David Evans' trio, Choice Of Remark, Jawking and Redair, all have plenty going for them, but He's So Cool is most feared following a comfortable win at Doncaster.
Lily's Angel has looked a promising prospect in her 2 starts so far and she can complete the hat-trick from a good draw here. Brocklesby winner He's So Cool and Choice of Remark (rail draw) could prove best of the rest.

WONDER OF WONDERS could take some stopping for the stable that took this race in 2008 and 2009. She won impressively at Tipperary recently and a string of Group 1 entries to her name suggest that she's been showing bright signs at home. Midnight Caller, representing last year's wining team, has been given plenty of time to recover from her disappointing effort in a Group 2 at Doncaster and rates the biggest threat, with Ed Dunlop's Musharakaat another highly respected contender.
Wonder of Wonders remains capable of better and her proven stamina will be an asset here, but Midnight Caller's debut second to Blue Bunting looks even better now and she can put her May Hill disappointment behind her upped in trip. She is a half-sister to an Oaks third and should have more to come this season. Jaaryah is another who may do better in 2011 and has place claims.

A typically competitive renewal and last year's winner Mamlook warrants respect despite a 4lb higher mark to overcome. The second, Tastahil, and third, Halla San, from 12 months ago are also taking their chance again, but OVERTURN's front-running tactics could pay off. One of the success stories of last season, he hasn't been disgraced in some of the top hurdle prizes this time around and could prove to tough to peg back here if given a soft lead. Dirar, Mount Athos and Admiral Barry make up a really strong Irish team.
Being the only front runner in the field, Overturn couldn't have been better drawn and, fresh from a cracking effort in the Scottish Champion Hurdle, may be able to add this to last year's win in the Northumberland Plate. Dangers abound, headed by Red Cadeaux and Tastahil, while Mamlook and Halla San are others with good records in this race worthy of respect.

BREATHLESS KISS is 6lb better off with Falasteen than when beating him (Beat The Bell third) at Beverley early last month, which is due to the latter since gaining revenge at Epsom, but Kevin Ryan's filly didn't appear to handle the idiosyncrasies of the Surrey track. She belied odds of 50/1 when not beaten far in a Group 3 on Saturday and gets the nod back in handicap company this afternoon. Blue Jack won a Listed race here last summer and has won when fresh in the past, while Doctor Parkes' reappearance victory at Redcar also puts him in the picture.
Blue Jack, who goes well fresh, is a class above most of these and should get the strongly-run race that suits from a handy draw now back in a handicap for the first time in a while. Drawn just inside him, Breathless Kiss also has good claims, while Falasteen should give it a bold go from stall 4 but might find his higher mark catching him out.

COLOMBIAN has made the frame in a couple of good Newbury maidens and would have got a lot closer on his return over 1m had he not been hampered when staying on in the final furlong. With this longer trip sure to suit, John Gosden's charge is taken to get off the mark, possibly at the main expense of Tanfeeth, who also showed promising signs when keeping on for a good fourth (Change The Subject ninth) in a 1m Newbury maiden on his reappearance. El Wasmi made a promising debut at Yarmouth recently and is entitled to improve.
Colombian looks ready for this trip and is fancied to get off the mark at the third attempt. There are other potential improvers in opposition, Tanfeeth and Change The Subject both worthy of plenty of respect.

Planet Waves shaped as though he wanted further when third over 1m2f at Epsom recently but this could be between the Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned pair, FADHAA and Gawaarib. The latter's 1m4f maiden win at Wolverhampton was largely thanks to William Buick's enterprising ride and preference is for the Barry Hills-trained colt, who built on his debut promise as a juvenile when returning with a victory over an extended 1m1f on polytrack last month. That form has been franked emphatically by the fourth and he should relish this sterner test of stamina.
Fadhaa looked a likely type for handicaps when making a winning return at Wolverhampton last month and the longer trip should be in his favour. Colour Vision's profile is unconvincing but his Thirsk win gives him the look of a well-handicapped horse and a gelding operation may have helped. Gottany O's has improved since upped to this trip and he can go well also.
