Tri Nations makes his first outing in 119 days and has won over this distance before but has twice finished fourth since that win and needs to have improved during his spell on the sidelines, while Quintessentially seeks a first win but should be suited by the drop back to 2m. The vote, however, goes to HUCKING HERO who comes here on the back of two fine hurdling efforts. He scored on his debut at Taunton in February before following up with a solid second at Ludlow last month and Tim Vaughan's five-year-old can go close again.
Hucking Hero has made a good start to his hurdling career and this looks a good opportunity for him to gain a second win. Quintessentially and Tri Nations hold solid place claims. (AS)

Pistolet Dove will have no problems with the ground or trip having won in similar conditions at Leicester towards the end of last year. He's rated 11lb higher now but was unlucky not to score when a close second off a 2lb lower mark at Plumpton last month. Philip Hobbs' gelding is respected but PRINCE DES MARAIS showed improvement when finishing second at Bangor last time out and he looks up to landing a first success. Littleton Aldor won well at Fontwell last month but has since been beaten in selling company at Plumpton.
Little to choose between a few of these, but American World has more solid efforts to his name than the rest and is taken to come out on top. Prince des Marais and Pistolet Dove are a couple of others who can be expected to go well.

Chinara has been hit with a 9lb rise for her win at Worcester when last seen in August and will need to have improved since then if she's to make a successful return to action. The one to side with could be Tim Vaughan's RUPESTRIAN, who has won four of his last six starts and will find this much more to liking having pulled up in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham last month. Oscar Bay is back on his last winning mark and is expected to prefer the quicker ground here.
Few come into this with good recent efforts to their name and the lightly-raced Special Occasion is probably the most solid option, a recent disappointing effort over a longer trip at Cheltenham easily forgiven. No Principles definitely has the potential to do better now handicapping, whilst Chinara could also go well if fit after a lay-off.

Killfinnan Castle is prone to a mistake or two and has fallen twice in his last seven appearances. He finished third of four on his last outing and is still 5lb higher than his winning mark from Fontwell in February but is no forlorn hope. Point winner Gift Of The Gods has failed to score under Rules but she finished third at Leicester in January and hasn't been totally disgraced in two starts since. Preference is for GUNSHIP, who finished second on his last outing last month and is only 2lb higher than when winning at Lingfield in December.
Most of these are beset with jumping problems and stakes should be kept to a minimum. Gunship is among them, but the fact he has prevailed over this C&D in the past is enough to encourage those willing to take a chance. Heart Springs and Billybo are others worth considering.

The top two on the card look the ones to beat here. Slight preference is for STRATEGIC APPROACH, who has good form at this venue. Warren Greatrex's charge won here in December before finishing second off an 11lb higher mark and although he failed to replicate the form at Sandown in February, he can bounce back to form here. Bruslini drops back into novice company after disappointing in a competitive handicap at Southwell last time and he will be expected to go close. Dashing John could be the next best in this field as he makes his debut over hurdles after picking up a win on the point-to-point circuit.
A novice which lacks depth and it'll be a surprise if it doesn't develop into a match between Bruslini and Strategic Approach, the latter narrowly preferred. Five Star Wilsham is the only other who can be given a realistic chance.

This looks well within the reaches of MISS SAFFRON. The seven-year-old won on her last outing at Fontwell by 14 lengths and despite suffering a 12lb rise in the ratings, she should be good enough to succeed once again. Roaming West competed well at Exeter recently with two rivals both rated significantly higher. She's the top weight here and 7lb higher than for her last handicap start but she can be in the reckoning. Little Rort has been inconsistent of late but with two seconds in the last month, has each-way claims.
Miss Saffron has sprung to life since contesting handicaps and looked one to keep on the right side when forging clear at Fontwell 11 days ago. BEN CEE PEE M finished second on his debut at Southwell and can go one better with that experience behind him. He stayed on well first time out and should come on plenty. Lady Karinga has finished third on both starts to date and should have plenty more to offer, while Paul Nicholls' newcomer Dark Lover is one to keep a close eye on in the betting market. Support for Arthurian Legend or Bottman may also be worth heeding.
This has proved to be a warm bumper in the past and this year's renewal looks no different. Plenty can have a case made for them, but Ben Cee Pee M sets a pretty good standard and may be the safest option, ahead of newcomer Arthurian Legend and Railway Diva.
