ONE TRACK MIND is asked to concede 7lb and upwards to all rivals but he's 2-2 (both at Wetherby) and impressed with the manner of his victory on his hurdling debut last month. The Warren Greatrex team remains in excellent fettle and it will take a useful performer to lower his colours despite his impost. Rons Dream toughed it out well to score on his Ffos Las hurdling debut and should come forward again from that run, while Sidbury Hill has come up against useful sorts the last twice and looks the solid each-way option.

Watch out for: Rons Dream (7)

One Track Mind will need to raise his game in order to concede weight all round, but the Flemensfirth gelding could hardly have been more impressive when making a winning debut in this sphere at Wetherby and, with the prospect of better to come, he is taken to maintain his unbeaten status. Sidbury Hill and Rons Dream rate the main dangers, though Singlefarmpayment is also accorded respect.

Paul Nicholls' charge sports blinkers for the first time, though, and his conditional jockey takes a handy 7lb off so it wouldn't be the biggest shock to reverse that form. Perfect Candidate hacked up in a weak race at Bangor and is worth a market check at this grade, while it might be premature to discount the stablemates Doing Fine and Champagne Rian.

Royale Django returns from a 181-day break and debuts for Tim Vaughan so is one to monitor closely in the betting after scoring on debut for Stuart Crawford. Local Show, runner-up in a 2m bumper at Uttoxeter, could improve for this stiffer test given he's a point winner and looks best of the rest.

Question marks abound in a fascinating contest with most having claims. Madness Light contested some high-class races last term and it would not surprise were to make a successful British debut over fences (won only French chase start). He has an absence to overcome, though, and a market check is strongly advised. Anay Turge is searching for form, The Bear Trap is proving enigmatic and Humbel Ben is of definite interest if reproducing the level of his latest win. Lord Protector is of obvious interest but TOLKEINS TANGO could find this easier than his recent Newbury sixth, having impressed previously at Exeter over this trip.

Watch out for: Madness Light (1)

Lord Protector made a better fist of things sporting blinkers on his second try over fences when runner-up at Exeter in November. He ought to stay this far and is likely to take some stopping if cheekpieces have the same effect. French chase winner Madness Light is an interesting contender and may prove a bigger threat than the capable, if somewhat disappointing, The Bear Trap.

AUDACIOUS PLAN relished the step up to three miles when scoring with a bit in hand at Ffos Las and is worth siding with despite a 10lb hike in the weights. Awaywiththegreys is interesting at the head of the handicap, though, as he has dropped to his last winning mark and was last sighted in much more competitive company at Haydock. Geton Xmoor remains potentially unexposed and Bygones Sovereign could have more to offer if getting his act together.

The form of Geton Xmoor's victory at Worcester at May looks to be working out, notably with the runner-up winning twice since, and Jeremy Scott's 7-y-o will appreciate going back up in trip on handicap debut. Audacious Plan is sure to be a threat despite a 10 lb higher mark for winning over 3m at Ffos Las in October, whilst Zalgarry is still one to be interested in despite another long lay-off.

Carole's Destrier scored with plenty in hand over 3m at Exeter last time and should go well as he bids to shake off a subsequent 3lb rise, but with winning C&D form already in the book, marginal preference is for ROALCO DE FARGES, who impressed when scoring on his reappearance at Cheltenham and is better than he showed at Ascot last time. C&D winner Mountainous and Hawkes Point have been off the track since running in the Grand National and are others to monitor in the betting.

Carole's Destrier jumped like an old hand when seeing off a couple of next-time-out winners at Exeter in November. He looks a very smart staying chaser in the making and can defy top weight returned to a handicap. C&D winner Hansupfordetroit is also one to take seriously if ready to go on his return, whilst Amigo will be much sharper for a recent pipe-opener.
