11th of 13 finishers in a 2700m Segre Class F last Saturday. Shod as he was when 2nd here last month and, although in better company, is still worth monitoring

Impressive at a lower level, in both amateur and professional ranks, before faulting in a 2700m Segre Class F 4 days ago. Unlikely to spring a surprise but sports 4 pads for the first time and, with application, can get a look-in

Useful servant but has not been seen out since coming 2nd of 12 in a 2375m Castelsarrasin Class F last September and will need the outing

8th of 10 finishers in a 2650m Saint-Omer amateurs Class G on 2 June. Has been a write-off this season and is not about to change her ways

Got back to winning ways in a 2825m Class D at Sable-sur-Sarthe 10 days ago and can again go close, provided he deigns to keep his action together

Drops back to a more reasonable level after trotting 5th of 11 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F 10 days ago and, ideally-entered, is unlikely to be far off the mark

Has not been seen out since faulting in a 2850m Vincennes Class C early-March, but is clearly in competition-mode and will be no pushover if Mathieu Mottier keeps her trotting

Has done nothing noteworthy for some time, latterly sanctioned in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F 10 days ago, and can be written off

Made short work of a 2800m Rambouillet Class F, on return from his spell, late last month and, although yet to deliver at Chartres, is still worth retaining

Showed improvement when 5th of 18 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F 2 weeks ago. Has little room for manoeuvre but can still pick up some minor-place prizemoney

Has ability but yet to get into his stride this year. One from last in a 3200m Landivisiau Class F earlier in the month and is unlikely to shake things up

Yet to get her nose in front this year but has come close, most recently 3rd of 17 in a 2875m Argentan Class F late-May. Pleased on lone start here and should not be overlooked

Hardy element that won a 2400m Amiens Class E with authority on 27 May. Should appreciate Chartres profile and can figure prominently

Returns to racing shod after being sanctioned in a 3000m Nantes Class D on 3 June. Is in decent shape though and, even with shoes back on, can pick up some crumbs

Disappointing in all 3 starts this term, most recently sanctioned, at 163/1, in a 2875m Class D at Meslay-du-Maine 3 weeks ago, and even racing barefoot, can be disregarded

Classy future prospect making Chartres debut on a hat-trick, completing the double in a 2825m Durtal Class F a month back, and will be expected to make this her own

Failed to confirm her Machecoul success when 8th, behind JOYCE CAUVELLIERE (16), in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F on 5 May. Reliability not her strong suit but, if focused, can play a small role

Disappointing in all 4 starts this term, latterly 8th behind JAKAR DU MOULINET (6) in a 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe Class F late last month, and can be confidently passed over

Should not be too hastily judged for late-May’s 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe Class F sanction. Is faithful for the most part, reverts to racing unshod behind, and will be competitive for a first-5 cheque

Versatile mare that trotted 4th to JOKER D'OLAINE (15) in a 3150m Mamers Class F a month back. Debuts at a track she should appreciate and from the front line looks a player

7th of 10 finishers in a 2625m claimer at Chalons-en-Champagne on 25 May and, even with front shoes off, has no possible chance

4th of 16 in a 2825m Class F at Sable-sur-Sarthe late-May, on first start since January. Will have come on for the run, breaks in front, and is not going to be far from the action

Still being conditioned when sanctioned in a 2775m Elbeuf Class F on 2 June. Races barefoot this time, is confirmed at the venue, and could well get a look-in

6th of 13 in a 2850m Lyon-Parilly Class F on 25 May. Enjoys a good entry but others still easier to back

Sanctioned when favourite for a 2400m Class E at Beaumont-de-Lomagne 2 weeks ago. Is plainly at his best and can win this if he assures his initial strides

Excellent in 3 of last 4, latterly 2nd of 16 in a 3150m Mamers Class F a month ago. Unlikely to repeat in this category but will still generate some interest

7th of 10 finishers in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F on 5 May. Has had time to get her house in order and will have a say in the outcome, provided she runs to her mark

Finished 2nd in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class E late-April before losing it in the stewards room. Comes here fresh and will be no soft touch if Jacques Bruneau can keep him trotting

Encouraging 4th of 11 in a 2300m Class E here on 2 June. Cannot be considered a priority but has yet to disappoint at Chartres and will be expected to make first 5
