FROSE (7) has being trialling well up in New South Wales and comes south looking dangerous. BONHEUR (6) is out of a Group One winner and won her jump out well. JEWELLERY (8) didn't win her jump out, and neither did MERCHANT PRINCE (1), but both shaped well and need to be respected for top yards.

Very similar scenario looks like unfolding here and think that Lavish Girl can confirm the placings. RIOYUKI (5) ran well at the Valley. She was pushed wide turning there but was strong late and that form ties in through Luna Cat. Tipping she will be better suited back at 1400m based on that. RUSSIANS (4) comes south after winning her maiden in Sydney last time. Still on the up and always respect the yard when they send them south.

Draws to get a soft trail behind a strong pace. MARINE ONE (5) has been kept fresh. Much too good at Pakenham and has the ratings to win better races than this. IN THE BOAT (2) won a similar contest around here last time and has a hope again. FLORESCENT STAR (1) dug in well to win last time and has a hope again along with a fitter PERSEIDS (18) who is second up - but the chances certainly don't end there.

Strong winner to end Cup week then had a gap between runs when just picked off there last time up to 1200m. Back at 1100m with that run under the belt looks a plus and he has the ratings profile to knock this off. SCORCHED EARTH (15) is the one with the recent rating to trouble him. She was terrific winning at Flemington but a big field around a corner and a wide draw here makes this a very different scenario. YULONG COMMAND (11) will fly around the bend and give them all something to catch. He will be taking short strides late while DEFIANT DANCER (1) will be charging. Strong late work to win over 1200m last time. Little ease in trip might be against but have to respect how he went about it at Pakenham.

Thought VESPERTINE (10) was terrific first up at Flemington. She may be well suited on the bigger track but loved how she powered through the line and think that she can use the low draw to stalk a strong pace here. That sets her right up. AWARD WINNER (6) was good in the same race and she was much shorter in the betting there. JEZOULENKO (16) keeps winning. Won in similar around here last time and while this is no easier it doesn't look a great deal tougher. DANCE TO DUBAI (7) might be better suited back around a bend and she is respected along with CLOUDY (4) who comes down from Sydney where her fresh run was fairly promising before an even one last time.
