Individual Race Printouts

Fair Loch warrants plenty of respect first time over timber and returning to the scene of his bumper success, but it's difficult to look past classy Flat recruit RAINBOW PEAK. The Hernando gelding was rated as high as 115 on the level (won a Group 1 in Italy) and he should prove a cut above these rivals providing his jumping holds up. Benzanno won three races on the Flat for Andrew Balding and could reach the frame on his hurdling debut for top NH connections.

Top Tip: Rainbow Peak (7)
Watch out for: Fair Loch (4)

Rainbow Peak is a fascinating recruit to hurdling having been a Group 1 winner on the level in the past. His new yard has done well with this type already and he is of obvious interest but Benzanno should be well suited by these conditions now going hurdling and he can make a winning start for his new connections. Fair Loch and Yorkist might prove best of the rest.

Zip Wire boasted some solid Flat form when trained by Edward Lynam in Ireland and he should take close order on his hurdling debut, but AALIM shades the verdict in receipt of 13lb and with the benefit of a timber outing under his belt. There was plenty to like about his Market Rasen second 23 days ago and normal improvement will make him difficult to beat. Spin Cast has struck the crossbar on his last couple of starts and holds each-way claims again.

Watch out for: Zip Wire (7)

Aalim made a pleasing start to his hurdling career and he can go one better in a race lacking strength in depth. Zip Wire and Martin Chuzzlewit are interesting recruits from the Flat, while Spin Cast and Dark Dune have shown a bit over hurdles and can do better.

RIVER PURPLE bounced back to form to strike by seven lengths over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time and a 10lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to anchor him if arriving in the same mood. Milan Royale is an obvious danger on the back of his gritty track and trip success, while Pistol Basc has put a couple of solid efforts together recently and he should be to the fore again.

River Purple got back on track in good style when opening his chasing account at Uttoxeter this month, and may prove too strong for recent C&D winner Milan Royale. Qasser was much improved on his handicap debut at Plumpton and makes plenty of appeal dropping into selling company for the first time, but this could be fought out between Boxing Day rivals GHAABESH and Johnnys Legacy. The former finished a place and a length and a half in front when third in this grade at Market Rasen two days ago and he should be able to confirm his superiority on identical terms.

SUPRISE VENDOR impressively notched up a Hexham/Bangor double last month and, although a further 9lb rise is sure to make life a lot tougher, he is difficult to oppose while in such a rich vein of form. Big Water didn't appear to see out the 2m3f trip when runner-up on his chasing debut here earlier in the month and with less emphasis on stamina, he commands respect, while Sir Valentino also holds claims on his first start over the larger obstacles.

TWICE LUCKY looks to have plenty going for him. He proved himself to be in good heart when runner-up over 3m at Newcastle last time and has an ideal racing weight of 10st 1lb (before Jonathan England's claim) in a contest that might turn into a slog. Radio Nowhere was only a head off opening his account at Newcastle and should be in the thick of the action again, providing the extra five furlongs isn't beyond him, while Allanard wouldn't be without a chance if putting his best foot forward.
