The Jonjo O'Neill/Tony McCoy combination were responsible for the winner of this race 12 months ago and they appear to have another cracking chance with ANOTHER TRUMP this time around. The 8-year-old son of Montjeu showed a likeable attitude when striking over fences at Huntingdon recently and looks sure to go close lining up off the same mark on his hurdling return. Smart Act warrants respect on his seasonal/handicap debut having improved throughout last term, while Mariinsky is no forlorn hope on his return from a lay-off.

Top Tip: Another Trump (4)
Watch out for: Smart Act (1)

Another Trump seems equally as good over hurdles and fences so has to be the one to beat off the same mark as when scoring over the larger obstacles at Huntingdon last week. It's doubtful we've seen the best of Smart Act yet, while the returning Mariinsky also commands respect, particularly if the market speaks in his favour.

Vardas Supreme shaped encouragingly on his first run for the Joanne Foster stable at Hexham 12 days ago and he must enter calculations competing from the bottom end of these weights, but QUINDER SPRING is preferred representing the yard who won this event last year. He should arrive full of confidence having recorded wins at Cartmel and Uttoxeter recently and a real mud lover, he is sure to be staying on when others have cried enough. Oil Burner isn't without claims, but may just need this first appearance since January last year.

Bit Of A Jig is sure to attract plenty of support on his debut under NH rules having been bought into the powerful Donald McCain stable for 27,000 pounds following two promising efforts between the flags in Ireland, but a chance is taken on DE BEE KEEPER. Also promising in the Irish point-to-point field, he wasn't knocked about when taking fourth on his NH debut in a hot looking bumper at Perth last month and stepping up three furlongs in trip for this first spin over timber can only help. Little Glenshee and Everylasting are others to note.

It could pay to side with POWER PACK JACK. He confirmed his liking for the Cumbria track (won a C&D event last October) when third around here some two weeks ago and another big run looks assured with the handicapper kindly dropping him 3lb since. His conqueror from the last day, The Magic Bishop, reopposes, but 7lb worse off for a three and quarter length beating over Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge, he looks to have it all on to confirm placings, so Mister Hyde rates the bigger threat on his first start since winning over hurdles at Ffos Las in May.

Ahyaknowyerself has found another couple of gears since fitted with blinkers (worn again today) on his last couple of starts and another big run looks on the cards here, but front-running PAS TROP TARD could prove difficult to peg back in receipt of 9lb. He confirmed that his 25-1 victory against some useful rivals at Perth late last month was no fluke when readily following up over this C&D latest and it will be dangerous for the others to give him too much rope again. Maybe I Wont arrives fit from the Flat and has place claims.

SUPER DUTY will take the world of beating on his chasing debut. With efforts such as his second in Grade 2 company at the Aintree Festival last term, Donald McCain's exciting gelding earned a rating of 142 over hurdles and he has the size and scope to go places in this sphere. Bury Parade looks sure to benefit from the switch to fences and with a spin over timber at Hexham 20 days ago under his belt, he warrants respect on his favoured soft ground today while any market support for the returning Yurok, who won a novices' hurdle here back in October 2010, could well be worth noting.

Watch out for: Bury Parade (1)

Yurok is interesting on his belated return and chase debut but Super Duty was the best of these over hurdles and could have a very big future over fences. Merry King is another to consider.
