SIMONSIG looked a very smart individual when taking a Fairyhouse bumper by 13 lengths in April and, on his debut for new trainer Nicky Henderson today, the gelded son of Fair Mix is expected to take all the beating. The two-time point-to-point winner burst onto the NH scene when hacking up in Ireland and is very likely to know his task under Barry Geraghty. Fellow hurdling newcomers Western King and Bobcatbilly appeal most of the remainder.
Dual point/bumper winner Simonsig looks an excellent addition to the Seven Barrows armoury and he is confidently expected to make the most of a good opportunity en route to better things. Fellow point winners Bobcatbilly and Western King may be the ones to chase him home.

While only four go to post, this beginners' chase has attracted a competitive field, with three-time French winner Solix very interesting now switched to fences. The Nicky Henderson inmate ran well in a couple of top handicap hurdles last season and could develop into a smart chaser this term. Blues And Twos is another respected chasing debutant for the in-form Emma Lavelle but 147-rated hurdler DUKE OF LUCCA is preferred. He sets a decent standard having finished second on his chasing debut at Chepstow last month and improvement should be forthcoming. No Secrets may need others to falter.
Solix was just about the best of this bunch over hurdles and commands respect now going chasing, but Duke of Lucca jumped well when making a promising start in this sphere at Chepstow recently and his experience could be enough to tip the scales in his favour.

Having finished just a short head behind Keys in Listed bumper at Cheltenham in January and gone on to finish fifth to Cheltenian at the Festival in March, CINDERS AND ASHES clearly has class in abundance. Donald McCain's representative was disappointing at Aintree in April when last seen but is certain to have been readied for this hurdling introduction. Ted Spread, winner of the Chester Vase on the Flat, is accorded the utmost respect on his jumps bow, while Broadbackbob is not easily ruled out.
Ted Spread was smart on the level, and he's taken to trump the useful bumper form of Broadbackbob and Cinders And Ashes on his hurdles bow. Tindaro ran well on his first try in this sphere, and should make the frame if repeating that effort.

Swing Bill bounced right back to form at Cheltenham last week but under a 7lb penalty, this looks a tough ask. The value would appear to lie elsewhere and, on his handicap chasing debut, VINCITORE is preferred. The five-year-old has looked good in novice company, especially so when beating Aldertune at Worcester last month, and he is potentially well treated off this mark of 130. Stoney's Treasure caught the eye over the larger obstacles last term but while he is entitled to come on for this run, he shouldn't be completely ruled out.

A smart piece of placement means recent Cheltenham winner Decoy is turned out immediately without a penalty (having scored in a conditional jockeys' contest) and running a full 8lb well in, David Pipe's charge seems sure to make the frame. Slight preference, however, is for PANTXOA, who is expected to have improved for his comeback run at Sandown earlier this month, when the Alan King charge bumped into the useful Pateese. The consistent Rajnagan has been on the go all summer and appeals most of the remainder.
Blinkers plus a stiffer test helped Decoy land some hefty bets at Cheltenham last week, and able to race off the same mark, is hard to oppose despite this much shorter trip. Rajnagan might well have won a listed event at Kempton in October but for fluffing the last and he should be in the mix once again. Pascha Bere is also weighted to play a part if ready on his seasonal return.
