CAVALLINI is still a maiden over timber but has been highly consistent in both codes during the summer and may be worth another chance here. Alaghiraar has been off the track since May but has looked a promising hurdler in the making and his stable has landed two of the last six runnings of this event. Busker Royal is another returning from a break but the Henderson horses rarely need the run and he is worth noting in the market, whilst Root Cause is an interesting Irish raider but may need softer ground.

A competitive handicap made all the more difficult by the majority of the field making seasonal reappearances. Golden Feather is the exception, having racked up a September hat-trick, and although getting in here off bottom-weight he is 29lb higher than when beginning his successful spree. In contrast, MOON OVER MIAMI has his fair share of weight but this high-class novice of last season could well outclass this opposition if fit and ready. Stan and Oceanos Des Obeaux also merit respect.

Like so many Paul Nicholls inmates, FONT has derived major benefit from a breathing operation and his latest performance when easing home from a large field at Cheltenham suggested that he should be followed until beaten. This is tougher but he may have scope for much more improvement. The Polomoche is a massive threat and he too looked a youngster to follow when easily defying top-weight on his reappearance. Classy Swinton Hurdle winner Blue Bajan cannot be ruled out despite top-weight.

RIVERSIDE THEATRE gets the vote to register another victory for the new Henderson-Geraghty combination. After making a winning debut in a Kempton bumper, the King's Theatre gelding finished third behind Diamond Harry and Shalone in a cracking contest, the form of which has been boosted by victories for both first and second on their hurdling debuts this term. Now Listen To Me and Kangaroo Court are interesting recruits from the pointing sphere, with Swansbrook another worth checking out in the market.
