Both of SICILIA MIKE's second-place finishes suggest that a race of this nature will come his way sometime soon and today could be his day. Others to note are Disavow and Bavaro.
Black Tide and ON TAP are very closely matched on form but the latter is open to more improvement and he gets the nod today. Ready Strike is an each-way alternative.
THE CARETAKER was given a nice introduction to racing when a never-nearer third at Belmont last month and he is fully entitled to improve for that experience. Can't Stop History can give him the most to think about, while Sunday Soldier also makes the shortlist.
ASPHALT PAVING made a debut full of promise when finishing second at Belmont and is strongly fancied to go one better this time around, possibly at the main expense of Condo Prince and Shades Of Night.
There should be plenty more to come from impressive debut winner CAUGHT A HEATER and he is preferred to the more experienced Hamptons Holiday and Eddie's Gift.
A few in with chances here but a solid case can be made for STELLA ROSE who has been highly tried of late. The talented Miss Atomic Bomb heads the list of dangers from Armoire and Lady Kreesa.
SEETHISQUICK made a promising start to his racing career when third over this trip at Belmont and, with normal improvement expected, he rates the one to beat. Oxford Circus and Your Secret's Safe, both dropped in class, also hold claims.
HEART TO HEART showed a fantastic attitude when winning a Grade 3 contest at Belmont last time and he could take some stopping if arriving in the same determined mood. Jay Gatsby was just half-a-length behind the selection that day so he has to be respected, while Kharafa cannot be ruled out either.
GREY GLORY has been in cracking form, winning two of his last three starts, and he might be able to strike again whilst the iron is hot. Chelios and Puppy Manners are other respected players.
