An open-looking heat to kick things off and ASSURED VICTORY gets the tentative vote to make amends for his disqualification, after finishing first past the post, over 1m here last time. There wasn't much to choose between Perfect Joiski (second) and Headingtothecity (third) over track and trip latest and they should be closely matched again.
It could pay to side with UNHOOK MY SARONG on her racecourse debut. She has shaped with plenty of promise in recent workouts and Gary Contessa is more than capable of getting one ready first time. Miss Melody and Mistretta are both taking a significant drop in class and look to be the newcomer's biggest threat.
COPY MY SWAGGER continues to thrive for new trainer David Jacobson and after finishing a creditable runner-up here in November, the two-year-old should be suited by the slight drop in class and gets the vote here. Ganador and Gal Has To Like It should also be taken seriously.
SANCHISE has been knocking the door of late in similar company and now the penny appears to have dropped, his maiden status could soon be a thing of the past. Another positive ride from the front will suit but keep an eye on Voter and This Hard Land.
Iron Lou generally performs to a high level of consistency and will appreciate this drop in trip, having found his stamina stretched over 1m latest. Star Of New York has place possibilities, too, but the vote goes to NO QUESTIONS, beaten by just a head over C&D latest.
ALPHABET JAMERICA was off the mark at the first time of asking at Philadelphia on debut and is taken to build upon that classy success now upped to this longer trip. Purely Majestic scored in style latest and is feared most. Ginger Snapit completes the shortlist.
This should go the way of VICTORYAT LAST, who has been running with credit in much tougher contests. Dropped in class tonight, she should take all the beating. Miss Mexique, winner of a $20k maiden claimer here latest, looks the danger but St. Lucy, also down in grade, could go close.
This should go the way of GALLANT FIELDS, an easy winner of a $51k allowance race over 7f at Saratoga two starts ago and a close second in this grade here last time. Southern Ridge, fourth in the latter race, can chase the selection home again while He's So Chic should be thereabouts.
Hard to see beyond R CLEVER CAT for the answer to this. She landed a double in better company in the summer and returned from a four-month break to finish third at Monmouth in a $35k allowance optional claimer last month. Dropped in class tonight, she should take all the beating. Chickatari, a winner in this grade latest, looks the one for the exacta while Wow Me might not be too far away.
