Verdict

LA GRANDE VILLEZ hardly had to break sweat to win last time at Towcester and, while this represents a stiffer task, she has a touch of class at this level and is selected to defy top-weight. Saphire Night was put in her place last time stepping up from plating company and is likely to have her work cut out once again off this mark. Sandymac was well fancied when winning on her first start in this country last time and has more to offer, while the consistent pair High Life and Hot Lips Page are others to consider.

Verdict

Kenzo III has only had six career starts but is pretty talented when he gets the chance on the track and it was another fine effort when second at Cheltenham last time. He should run his race but is now 4lb higher. Garryvoe comes from a stable in great nick at present but would be ideally suited by an even stiffer test, while Rare Society can be expected to be a lot sharper here after a recent second at Hexham and Hautclan mixes hurdles and chases with success and is sure to be thereabouts. KEENAN'S FUTURE might not be the easiest ride but he hardly came off the bridle at Stratford last time and being lightly-raced he could well be on a decent mark against some seasoned chasers.

Verdict

ZILCASH mixed it with some of the best last season in and out of juvenile company and got off the mark in effortless fashion last time at Towcester. This is likely to be tougher but he is still a confident selection. Sculastic had been expensive to follow before landing the odds last time but it is hard to see him troubling the Alan King horse. The biggest danger could well be Sendani who was quietly touted when thrown into the deep-end here on his hurdling debut. He made some bad early mistakes and was soon pulled up, but this French import was a twice a winner on the level and is capable of a lot better. Leo's Lucky Star has ability but the priority is surely a clear round.

Verdict

Estate has done well over hurdles and has a decent turn of foot but might just need this after a 272 day break. Hilltime ran a cracker over C&D in a hot heat on his penultimate start and confirmed his well being with a decent second over fences last time. He is a real genuine sort who should not be far away. KATIES TUTOR is well regarded by his trainer and he was in the process of running a good race when pecking badly three from home on his latest start at the Punchestown Festival. He still managed a respectable 4th and could be well treated. Majorca is running well at present and is another to consider.

Verdict

Clive Mulhall has a good partnership with Imps Way and it is unlikely she will be far away, although she has been slightly below her best the last twice. One at the top of his game at present is BEAUCHAMP ORACLE who followed two decent thirds behind useful animals for the division with a gutsy success at Cheltenham. If none the worse for those recent exploits he should take plenty of beating. Benrajah ran better last time and is another to consider although too much rain would be a negative.

Verdict

Sea Senor ran really well last time when a close second to the highly progressive Brave Rebellion at Wetherby and is the sort who will get better. HUGO WOLF stepped up from anything he had done previously when bolting up at Huntingdon on Easter Monday and was still in front when falling there in the latter stages last time. He is lightly-raced, going the right way and can cap a great night's work for the King yard. Anchors Way and Humorous are both in good order but look exposed.
