Expert Analysis
A dramatic bumper for mares where the rider of the runner-up mistook the winning post and cost his mount victory. The form does not look as strong as some recent runnings, not least last season when Bambino Fever led home Switch from Diesel and Carrigmoornaspruce.
MOONVERRIN went like the best mare for much of this race, travelling well to the lead in the straight only to idle and run around, passed by the second before jockey error gave her a second chance which she took. She is talented but quirky, something that has been in evidence in her previous runs too and does not want to be in front too soon.
ROYAL HILLSBOROUGH took a keen hold and looked like being left behind coming across the side of the track before rallying strongly late. She should have won and looks a staying type for the future.
TIKTOK CASEY was strong on the bridle and stepped up markedly on her Naas form to run well at a big price.
ARAMINTA reversed Fairyhouse form with Brosna Shine and again looked more of a stayer. She can revert to a maiden bumper if connections choose.
BROSNA SHINE was very strong in the market despite ground concerns and again travelled well before conditions took their toll. She leaves the strong impression she will be better on better ground.
LILANNBEE travelled well in the lead but spoiled her chance by being awkward on the final turn.
WONDERFUL EVERYDAY ran her second disappointing race in a row and may not enjoy testing ground.
DAWN OF LIGHT was an expensive buy at £370,000 last November but found this coming too soon in her development.
CELESTIAL TUNE failed to reproduce her Cheltenham form from November, racing keen under a penalty and was eventually pulled up. She likely prefers better ground.
