My Renaissance has won four times over this trip at Sedgefield, and is now back to the same mark as his latest success in September last year. He could go well, but at the age of 11 he may find the much younger GOUET DES BRUYERES improves past him here. Only five, he has already had eight starts over fences, winning at Wetherby and placing at Taunton and Market Rasen, and looks all set for a good season. G'day Aussie is interesting back over fences after winning over hurdles at Market Rasen and could also get involved in the finish.

Clever As A Fox was beaten a long way when second at Stratford on his chasing debut but is worth another chance if he can transfer his hurdling form to fences, and stepped up in trip looking for improvement. Delight Of Dubai was second over course and distance in July and won over further at Newton Abbot off 5lb lower and has to be considered, but FRAU GEORGIA could be the one. She showed much improved form to win easily at Perth earlier in the month by nine lengths, and an added 10lb may not stop her following up here.

With no guaranteed early pace in this field there is every chance that ZULU DAWN will be forced to make his own running here, and if he jumps more fluently than he did when runner up at Uttoxeter, jockey Lilly Pinchin may be able to hold off the attention of her pursuers. Percy's Word arrives having won his last couple of starts at Stratford in maiden/novice company, but the seven-year-old has been beaten off a lower handicap mark earlier this year and he may prove vulnerable on this occasion.
