MY NAME IS MICHAEL is a potential improver now dropping down from Grade 2 level and could prove too strong for Hawk's Well and Run To The Bank.
PATSY'S STAR rattled the crossbar over the extended 6f latest and is taken to go one better now cutting back in trip. Pure Purity and Frosty Vixen can scrap it out for the silver medal.
BIG DADDY BILL stayed on well in the closing stages over 7f here last time and is taken to improve for this step up in trip. Binks Forest and Golden Ridge make most appeal of the remainder.
VILLAGEOFVIBANK seemed to get the hang of things when striking over the extended 5f last time and should remain competitive over this longer trip. Me Coh and Forest Brother look best of the rest.
INTERNAL BOURBON was cuffed by a neck over the extended 6f here last time but could go one better now granted this extra yardage. Salty Breeze and Singwiththebirds both have place possibilities.
The blinkers should help CONQUEST TIZFIRE to settle better after a dogged debut performance last month. She travelled like the winner for a long way and can gain compensation here ahead of the similarly named Conquest City Girl. Moonlit Promise is nicely bred and any market support should be noted.
Grade-dropper BORN IN A BREEZE wasn't disgraced in a $125,000 contest last time and should have stripper fitter for that reappearance. He can take this ahead of the Mark Casse-trained Conquest Boogaloo, and the progressive Ransom The Moon.
It would be a great story if CRUMLIN SPIRIT could claim victory in this for Michael Doyle. She looks like the pick of the two Michael Doyle runners, and the manner of her stakes victory earlier this month here was impressive. She can get the better of the unexposed Jennifer Lynette, with Trini Brewnette expected to go well despite having a bit to find on form.
String Bikini and The Mink Mile will likely be warm orders in this modest maiden, but they are both starting to look exposed and can be taken on at short enough prices. A better value play might be CONQUEST PARTYGIRL, who was unlucky during her debut and will have learnt a lot from her effort last time behind the former.
It might be worth taking a chance on WATERY MOON, who has his first run in 10 months after a gelding operation over the winter. It is interesting that connections feel he is worth persisting with, and he looks like good value in a weak race. Ninth Symphony and Panther Key complete the shortlist.
