COURTVILLE won a $25,000 claimer over C&D last time out and he should be capable of beating Too Many Egbert's and Dash Of Dazzle today.
This is a first appearance in claiming company for AWSOME MOI and the four-year-old should take full advantage of the drop in grade. Distinctive Style and Ihaveabetteridea can fight it out for the places.
TRIAL LAWYER gets the nod because he has a decent record at this level and at this track. That said, Divine Dance and Perfect Ella also have claims.
CACTUS KRIS brings the best form to the table and she is very hard to oppose in a weak race for the grade. River Maid and She's Explosive appear to be the main threats.
SILENT COVE has shown more than enough in three starts to date to suggest that he can win a race of this nature. Tethra's Magic and Red Explosion should also be in the mix.
DIVINE is not far off top-class in Europe and she merits the utmost respect in a moderate Grade 2. Full Mast has the form to go well but needs to prove himself over this trip, while Stacked Deck can pick up some prize money.
Trabacious is entitled to improve now eased in grade but preference is instead for recent course second RED N' NASTY, who could improve for this step up in trip. Sammy Jo Blue is no forlorn hope for a place.
BEST IN THE WORLD built on her Group 3 victory at Cork when finishing runner-up in a Curragh Group 2 last time and is expected to build on that half-length beating at the hands of Shamreen and find the improvement needed to score. Suffused and Rainha Da Bateria, the latter of whom was a Grade 2 winner in Canada latest, are others to consider closely.
IDAHO was still in contention when unseating his rider in a bizarre incident in the St Leger and Aidan O'Brien's Galileo colt is expected to gain compensation. The Pizza Man had Wake Forest (second) and World Approval (third) in arrears when landing Grade 1 honours at Woodbine latest and has strong place claims. Strong stayer Protectionist has been rejuvenated in Germany of late and could be keeping on for some minor money too.
It is interesting that Mark Casse keeps faith with CONQUEST EXPRESSO and he is likely to have come on plenty for his reappearance earlier this month. Javier Castellano takes over for the first time and their pair can get the better of Call Me Wally and Super Colerosa.
A tough finale but there was plenty to like about FOXY PHILL's win at this venue last time out and he should have no issues with this step up in trip. Durango Flyer and Philly Completely also enter calculations.
