The hat-trick-seeking TEXAS BLITZ hasn't been sighted since scoring at Fort Erie in November but would take all of the beating if fully wound to go on his seasonal bow. Kissed By A Ghost and Mississippi Hippie make most appeal of the remainder.
The form standard is probably set by Level Road, who is eased in grade having contested a $20k maiden claimer when last sighted in November. Marginal preference, however, is for THE MIGHTY SPARROW, who has the benefit of a recent run behind him and was second on his last visit to this track last year. Newcomer Yaknow What I Mean also merits consideration.
The market should prove useful identifying which of these are fully wound up to go as all are making their seasonal debuts. Olivia's Song and Swingwiththering signed off last season with winning efforts over further so marginal preference is for TREE POSE, who boasts winning C&D form to her name and hinted a return to 5f would suit when weakening into second over 6f here in November.
SAMSAL confirmed promise shown on debut when third in a 150k prize over this track and trip latest and, with further improvement on the cards, she could prove difficult to beat. May Island and Horseshoe Hill also appear to be heading the right way.
BOLD HIPSTER stepped up on his debut effort with a decent third over 6f here last time and with further improvement likely he can get off the mark here. Bestocats should improve for his debut experience and he should be thereabouts with Sneaky Money also worthy of a place on the shortlist.
SPEIGHTSTOWN LADY should appreciate the drop to 5f and if she puts her best foot forward she could take plenty of beating here. Fan Out is unexposed and it would be no surprise to see him take a hand. Phoenix Court takes a step up in class but should run her race.
SAUCY SONG was in fine form towards the end of last year and if she returns to action at the top of her game she can put these opponents to the sword. Drink Me Cute is entitled to be on the premises and Bubbles To The Top should not be far away.
QUICK CODE can be forgiven a disappointing effort here when last sighted over the extended 6f when the four-year-old was forced to mount his challenge six-wide at the home turn. Dropped in class for this, he can recapture the winning trend but keep an eye on Ginger Mint and Bear Tough Tiger.
BLUES DANCING has shaped well in better company in recent months and this drop into allowance company is taken to bring about a return to the winning enclosure. Ariel's Bay should have more to offer following her maiden success latest, while Posh Sox completes the shortlist.
MISS KAYLEIGH ROSE displayed marked improvement here in November last year and is entitled to have improved again over the winter months. With that in mind, the filly can shed her maiden tag at the third time of asking but keep an eye on Rue De Jean and Jenny's Magic.
