PRINCE OF PROPHETS was sent off favourite when a disappointing fourth at Lingfield last time but might find minor improvement now returned to the minimum trip. Stuart Williams' charge races off an unchanged mark and the booking of Chris Catlin could be indicative that a trailblazing run in this small field may be on the cards. Lady Calantha and Lexi's Beauty are maidens, like the selection, but make most appeal of the remainder.
Prince of Prophets wasn't beaten very far at Lingfield last time despite racing wide throughout from his outside berth and is almost certainly better than his current mark. He can break his duck with Lady Calantha looking the best option for the forecast.

CHARTER sets the form standard on the back of two creditable maiden efforts over 7f at Yarmouth and over this trip at Kempton last year. It is unlikely Michael Wigham's charge will need to improve much upon either of those efforts to land the spoils in a weak maiden. Clock Opera took a forward step when third over track and trip latest and looks the main danger ahead of the consistent, but exposed, Gaelic Wizard.
This should primarily concern Clock Opera and Charter, with the former just given the nod after shaping encouragingly behind Midnight Flower and Sherinn (winner since) over C&D last month. Gaelic Wizard lacks a progressive profile but may pick up more place money.

HARDY RED was beaten by under a length in a course claimer over 7f when last sighted but was headed near the finish, ultimately hinting that this shorter trip would suit. Hidden Coin is closely matched with the selection on official figures but is returning from a 173-day break and a market check is thus advised to try ascertain clues over his well-being. A bigger danger is Windforpower, who landed a 5f Lingfield seller last month and looks competitively weighted if seeing out this extra furlong.

HITTIN'THE SKIDS benefitted from a drop in distance when scoring on his first start for Kevin Ryan over track and trip last time and rates the one to beat under a penalty. Dhhamaan was little over a length behind the selection last time and will be hopeful of narrowing the gap on these revised terms. Monsieur Pontaven's October fourth over track and trip was not devoid of promise and he, too, would be interesting if the money was down again.
