NO DEAL won a Carlisle bumper in good style in November and he also won between the flags last year so this trip should be fine for him. He can make a winning hurdles debut. Hie Mossy won a point-to-point last month and he is interesting making his hurdling debut for Donald McCain. Harry The Lemon has claims on the form of his Musselburgh second last month and Toplander has place prospects on his hurdles bow.

Last month's Musselburgh runner-up Harry The Lemmon should go well again, but No Deal looked a good prospect when winning a Carlisle bumper on debut for Lucinda Russell in November and is just preferred over a trip which looks sure to suit him. Donald McCain's Irish point winner Hie Mossy is another interesting runner.

REAL MILAN made a winning chasing debut at Carlisle last month and even a reproduction of that effort would make him very tough to beat this afternoon so, with improvement likely, it is very hard to oppose him. Nuts N Bolts was well beaten on his chasing debut over 2m at Carlisle but this trip should suit him better and he could pose the main danger to the selection ahead of Papamoa.

SERGEANT PINK looks the most likely winner if building upon his latest effort, when second at Sedgefield over a similar trip. Dianne Sayer's representative races off an unchanged rating and, with solid chase form and race fitness on his side, he is preferred to Alexander Oats, who returns from a break, and the unexposed Gleann Na Ndochais, who pulled up on his previous chase run. Transact has dropped to a fair mark and is feared most.

Watch out for: Transact (4)

Gleann Na Ndochais was still in touch when unseating 3 out on his first start over fences in the autumn and a spin over hurdles since suggests he remains in fair nick. Although his best form has come over further, he gets the nod ahead of Sergeant Pink and Transact.

Although just six runners go to post, this looks a fairly competitive event. Dannanceys Hill made a bright start to his chasing career when finishing second to the useful Rose Of The Moon at Sedgefield last month and he ought to give a good account here if stepping forward from that, while Tipsy Dara warrants plenty of respect following her gritty Carlisle success. The vote, however, goes to ET MAINTENANT. He has yet to run a bad race in six visits to this track and is sure to go very close if in the same mood as when runner-up over 3m1f here last time.

It would be no surprise were this to develop into a match between Tipsy Dara and Dannanceys Hill. The former is building up an excellent record, but the latter looks a better chaser after just one outing over the larger obstacles, and is preferred.

LOCKED INTHEPOCKET produced a career best performance when landing a 2m4f handicap chase at Musselburgh on his penultimate outing and he can defy a 10lb higher mark back over hurdles today, despite a disappointing effort over fences here yesterday. Pas Trop Tard has recorded three wins already this season and looked better than ever when striking at Wetherby latest. He can give another good account despite a further 7lb rise in the ratings, while Seven Is Lucky and Purcell's Bridge add further spice to the race.
