VALMINA has proved consistency personified in recent weeks and completed a hat-trick when forcing a dead-heat with Rocket Rob over an extended five furlongs at Bath. The five-year-old is up only 2lb for his latest success and appears worth following in his current form. Efistoem boasts an excellent course record and will appreciate a return to this trip after getting outpaced over the minimum at Salisbury last time. Style And Panache has shown little of late but he is creeping down the weights and a return to form would not surprise at generous odds.
Valmina is respected in his bid for a 4-timer, but preference is for Interakt, who will appreciate the return to 6f after a solid effort at Sandown last time. Nubar Boy is a reliable sort who also makes some appeal.

The Art Of Racing appears pick of the two Richard Hannon newcomers on jockey bookings and the market should prove the best guide to what is expected on his racecourse bow. However, experience can count for a lot in this type of contest and KING DRAGON, down the field in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot last time, should prove difficult to beat on the evidence of his debut third behind Tipping Over at Newmarket in June. Whipper Snapper shaped with plenty of promise when runner-up over six furlongs on soft ground at Newmarket and any normal amount of improvement should see him follow the selection home.
King Dragon wasn't up to the Coventry last time but is worth another chance to confirm debut promise back in maiden company. Newmarket second Whipper Snapper also commands respect, while there are plenty of interesting newcomers, headed by Derwent.

VISCOUNT VERT appears to be progressing at a rapid rate of knots and he looks to have plenty more to come when scoring on soft ground over the C&D last week. A 6lb penalty should not prevent another bold showing and any cut underfoot would only enhance his claims even further. Eurystheus pulled clear of the remainder when chasing home the progressive Ibtahaj over this trip on polytrack at Kempton latest and he rates an obvious danger off a 1lb higher mark. Love Tale has yet to finish out the first two in four starts this term and enters calculations while Sir Mike and Takeitfromalady also merit respect in a fascinating contest.
Plenty to consider in an open handicap with the vote going to the progressive Viscount Vert. Eurystheus and Monymusk head the dangers.

Proximity returned to action with an eye-catching effort to finish fourth over the C&D last month and she certainly looks to possess the ability to land an event such as this. However, HUMMINGBIRD, half a length further behind in fifth in the aforementioned contest, wasn't given a hard time of things when her chance had gone and she may find the necessary improvement to reverse the form given that was her debut run. All Time, a full sister to the high-class Group 1 winner Passage of Time, was keeping on over a mile at Goodwood last time out and may be seen to better effect when encountering a greater test of stamina.
Proximity had Hummingbird just behind her over C&D last time and is taken to confirm superiority over that rival and get off the mark at the third time of asking. All Time is another of obvious interest, while Treasured Dream went nicely for a long way on her debut and could go well at longer odds.

Not a great deal of recent form to go on and WEST COAST DREAM is handed a tentative vote to successfully concede weight all round. The five-year-old didn't run at all badly when fifth in a stronger contest than this at Sandown on Friday and a reproduction of that effort may suffice. Billy Red, successful over the trip at Brighton on his penultimate start, overcame a slow start to finish third off this mark on fast ground at Lingfield last time and he would be a danger to all if breaking away on terms. Knocker Knowles appears the pick of the David Evans trio and completes the short-list.
Billy Red arrives here in form, will handle the ground and looks the most solid option. West Coast Dream may be the one to chase him home.

Vergrigio finished well beaten on his comeback run over seven furlongs at Salisbury but it would be no surprise to see him bounce back now upped in trip and any market confidence would be interesting. Red Lover was the subject of strong support ahead of a disappointing effort at Newmarket but Ryan Moore retains the mount and it would be folly to write him off just yet. Dynastic and Cairanne merit a place on the short-list but RYSBRACK, a bumper winner at Worcester last year, makes his handicap debut off a fair looking mark with the form of his latest fifth over the C&D beginning to work out well. That was his first outing in 301 days so further improvement also looks assured.
Rysbrack is the interesting one here and could be up to making a successful start to life in handicaps. Temuco and Larkrise Star are a couple of others to consider.
