SHIROCCO'S DREAM has gone from strength to strength in recent months, following up a novice hurdle win at Exeter with victory in handicap company at Sandown last time. Colin Tizzard's mare is up 5lb for that effort but could be better for a recent wind operation. Sacre Coeur was moving into contention when falling at Plumpton last time and could make an impact, while Misty Bloom was only reeled in late on over three miles at Doncaster last time and could relish this shorter trip. Exeter winner Trump Lady and recent course scorer Electric Annie are others to note in a competitive affair.

Jay Bee Why was beaten a long way behind My Drogo in a Grade 1 hurdle at Aintree last term and after a promising second on his chasing debut at Exeter, he again toiled behind My Drogo at Cheltenham latest. Though attaining the highest rating over timber of these runners, he may have to give best to DANNY KIRWAN here. Paul Nicholls' charge signed off last term with a wide-margin succss over timber here and has run respectably in two novice handicap chases at Cheltenham and Kempton so far this term. He could open his fencing account in this. Certainly Red was rated 120 over hurdles at his best, but that is a stone and more less than the main two protagonists in this.

A number have questions to answer in this race but that sentiment doesn't apply to FELTON BELLEVUE, who got off the mark in good style at Hereford just over three weeks ago. The seven-year-old is tipped to follow up off a 5lb higher mark, possibly at the expense of Max Dynamo, who returns from an absence after winning comfortably at Fontwell on his latest start in May last year. Fantomas switches to fences and is another to note.
It's not easy to get too excited by some of FINDUSATGORCOMBE's recent form, but with his latest effort behind Felton Bellevue easily excused (did too much too soon), he's tentatively put forward as the answer dropping a further 4 lb in the weights. The highly-touted MAGISTRATO finds himself in shallower waters here after being tested in the Coral Finale Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 1) in December. A well-beaten fifth on that occasion, he can be forgiven that effort in hot company and, with the likely sounder surface to suit and getting the weight-for-age allowance, he's a confident selection. The Chris Gordon-trained Aucunrisque was an easy winner at Plumpton last time and could give the selection most to fear. Knickerbockerglory couldn't have been more impressive at Taunton last time out and has to enter calculations in what looks an intriguing race.

ABUFFALOSOLDIER is an interesting contender now that he's over timber and upped in trip, as both should suit. He showed clear promise in both bumper runs, including when scoring at Southwell last time, and is taken to win the closing race. Previous course winner Grosvenor Court has to give the selection 7lb which may make life difficult for the Alan King-trained gelding, and while Farmer's Gamble has been off the course since August, Dan Skelton can get them fit after an absence and could be a danger if jumping better than he did on debut.
