FINAL COUNTDOWN made a decent start to life over hurdles for his new yard when finishing runner-up at Bangor and is expected to improve for that experience here. The main danger to the selection appears to be Dry Your Eyes, who improved for her first experience over timber when finishing runner-up at Perth, and can go close if continuing on an upward trajectory. Relentless Pursuit showed a modicum of promise on his second look at the smaller obstacles and completes the shortlist.

DUNOWEN POINT hinted that he is finding some form when finishing a six-length second over 2m4f at Sedgefield and looks the one to side with now he is 8lb lower than his last success which came over C&D. Big Generator drops from a more competitive 0-150 event at Worcester but needs to show more in a first-time hood, while Nikos Extra was denied a hat-trick at Newton Abbot but can still give a good account if bouncing back. Oyster Shell and Un Anjou return from a summer break and deserve close market inspection.

CUT THE CORNER didn't see out the three-mile trip as well as his conqueror at Hexham, but that was a decent start for his new handler, and the suspicion is that there will be more to come. Fort Worth looks a major threat to the selection on his return from a 326-day absence as he was an impressive winner of a Huntingdon bumper on his sole start under Rules and looks to have a touch of class.
