Cogry's jumping looked a lot slicker when he tackled hurdles for the second time at Leicester last month and he must be considered a leading player. However, COUNT DANILO may have the beating of him on a collateral form line through Saffron Wells, who the selection managed to beat by six lengths at Fakenham in December, and looks classy enough to shoulder a penalty to victory. Spring Steel performed creditably despite a big price at Doncaster and shouldn't be discounted, while a market move for Georgie Lad, I'm A Rocker, or Super Lunar would need to be taken seriously.

BADGERS COVE continues to search for an elusive maiden success over fences, but gave an excellent account in runner-up spot when pulling well clear of the third at Southwell last time, and having dropped from an initial mark of 124, he looks worthy of another try. Barton Gift hosed up at Exeter recently, but a 19lb hike in the weights looks steep enough, so perhaps No Duffer is the biggest danger after he chased home a pair of subsequent winners at Haydock in December and makes just his third start over fences. Mighty Mobb and Water Wagtail complete the shortlist.
