Verdict

This is not a strong Work Riders maiden plate. After numerous attempts, SMELTING could finally crack it. However, she has to beat a few including stable companion SILK GARDEN who shouldn't be far off. WARBONNET CREEK, who is not going top of the pops, drops in distance and should challenge. PRINCESS ILARIA has disappointed before but is carded to run before this - watch the form, she cannot be ignored. WRITTENINTHESAND can only improve on debut.

Verdict

BELLEVARDE was coughing last time after a rest. She will come on and should be involved. She receives 5,5kg from top-weight CRIMSON PRINCESS who should make a race of it. ETERNAL LIFE was hampered at the start last time but nevertheless won easily after a break. She is 3kg worse off with DARK TRAVEL for 2.75-lengths which could bring them closer. BALLROOM BLISS could make the money. OPERA GLASS needs to find form.

Verdict

Difficult to assess. Both SOUTHERN SKIES and THE MAURITIAN won impressively on debut but the form has not been franked. SET TO GO finished 3 lengths in front of well-backed DYCE last time but the latter needed the outing and could come on and make up the deficit. THUNDERSTONE is no slouch and was not striding out last time. One to include in all bets.
