IRISH LUCKY was thrown in at the deep end on his turf debut last month and, after scoring over 6f on the time before, could be worth another chance back on dirt. Hezafasttrick has been knocking on the door over C&D recently and will make sure the selection doesn't have things all his own way, while Night Vice continues to move in the right direction.
Windy Flapper won well over 6f here latest while Day Willy filled the runner-up berth in a higher grade sprint last time out. However, they both are unlikely to appreciate the step up in trip and the preference is for ALWAYS IN FRONT, who has scored twice over C&D in her last five starts.
This isn't the most competitive of events and BROTHER BUTCH should take some beating. Keith Bennett's gelding is used to mixing in better company and posted comfortably the highest last speed-figure in a much higher grade last week. There could be more to come from Tolton after he broke his duck last time out and he can push the selection closest.
Watch the market for clues on the newcomers, but it looks likely that Hi Tops and TWOSPEED will fight it out. Both landed maiden events over C&D first time out, but the latter won with more to spare and she was heavily bet to suggest connections think plenty of her.
SAY ANYTHING'S second in a higher grade over C&D last month clearly sets the standard here. There is likely to be more to come and Eric Kruljac's frontrunner should be very hard to reel in today. Step Outside is moving in the right direction and looks the best of the remainder.
Significant market support for a newcomer should obviously be noted, but the vote goes to TRAINING TY who showed plenty of speed to score over 2f here (I'm So Tricky 4th) on his debut and Jon Zimmerman's barn is firing on all cylinders. Elsewhere, River Lane failed to land a major gamble over 2f here first out but can't be ruled out stepping up in trip.
A YOUNGER BROTHER relished the drop in trip when scoring over 6.5f here last time out. That was a deserved reward for a string of good performances and he is taken to stage a follow-up today. Little Separated Solid Reach and Dbl Ott as they made the frame in a similar event latest and they can push the selection all the way, while Royal force should go well for his in-form connections.
SNOWBOUND JETARIO showed plenty of pace when just failing to score over 2f here on his debut, he is sure to know more about it today and can go one betetr for his in-form barn. Durbins ran well for a long way on his debut over C&D, while All Down Hill's sire has a 22% strike-rate with newcomers and he is fancied to go well today.
