HARRY HUNT has been found an excellent opportunity to open his account. Graeme McPherson's gelding produced his best hurdling effort when touched off over 2m1f at Hereford last time and a repeat performance may well be good enough. Baggsy won on her latest timber outing over C&D in November (albeit a seller) and could pose the main danger, while Ultravox has shown promise but was a couple of places and 12 lengths behind the selection at Hereford.
Much depends on who copes with the likely testing conditions, but Ultravox has shown plenty of potential over hurdles and could be the one to be with ahead of Harry Hunt and Royal And Ancient.

Badgers Cove came close to landing the spoils over 2m5f here last time and should give another good account but, in receipt of 7lb, EMPEROR CHARLIE may have his measure. The northern raider left a moderate debut over timber well behind when fourth at Kelso latest and this extra couple of furlongs is likely to bring out further improvement. Pure Anticipation faces an easier task than when finishing down the field at Cheltenham most recently and is no forlorn hope.
Pure Anticipation will find this easier than at Cheltenham last time and is marginally preferred to Badgers Cove. Likely-improver Emperor Charlie is the pick of the remainder.

It's difficult to look past RACKHAM LEROUGE in this event. A 128-rated hurdler, he hinted that he's going to be even better over fences when third behind Medermit and subsequent winner Tullamore Dew on his chasing debut at Plumpton last month, and that first outing in ten months is sure to have blown any cobwebs away. Lord Villez will love the testing underfoot conditions and is expected to chase the selection home, while King Ozzy is best of the remaining pair.
Rackham Lerouge shaped with abundant promise when third to a useful pair at Plumpton last month, and he really should have little difficulty brushing aside the challenge of Lord Villez and King Ozzy.

SEE YOU JACK should prove difficult to beat with a clear round of jumping. Prior to an early departure last time, he ran subsequent Grade 2 winner Mossley to five lengths over an extended 2m4f at Huntingdon and a repeat performance would almost certainly be good enough. Redbridge Flyer outran his odds of 100-1 at Chepstow latest and has since joined one of the most powerful stables in the business, while point-to-point winner Valsfirth is another to consider on his debut under Rules.
Loch Ba has run into a couple of excellent prospects on his outings to date, but meets nothing of that calibre here and can give Henrietta Knight a welcome winner. Redbridge Flyer is entitled to improve on his debut for Philip Hobbs and looks the biggest danger, although Bottman is capable of much better than he showed on his hurdles bow.

MOHI RAHRERE made a bright start to his chasing career when scoring in workmanlike fashion over 2m4f at Uttoxeter in October and, entitled to have learned a great deal from that experience, he gets the vote to defy a 10lb hike in the handicap. Other last-time-out winners, Andrew Nick and Flying Squad, are expected to give the selection most to think about, while Kilbeggan Blade is ridiculously well handicapped on his best form and the application of a visor could see him post a much-improved performance.
Ballyegan might have won at Taunton but for late mistakes (rider also dropped whip) and can progress on just his third chase start. Mohi Rahrere is another with improvement left and looks a danger, along with bottom-weight Flying Squad.

The classy Reindeer Dippin warrants plenty of respect on his first run in 12 months, but TAHITI PEARL gets the vote to strike from the opposite end of the weights. There was plenty to like about his second behind another useful sort from the McCain stable at Haydock in November and that first public appearance since March will have got rid of any rustiness. Call It On, Je Ne Sais Plus and Daring Origyn make up the shortlist in what is an open race to bring proceedings to a close.
Daring Origyn could have more to offer in this sphere and earns the vote ahead of Tom o'Tara, who may do better back over this trip, while Niceonefrankie could also be competitive.
