Silent Blessing almost profited from a lapse in concentration from a rival jockey who prematurely eased his mount last time but she maintained her maiden status after six starts. Sapphire Girl is another building up her experience but not progressing as hoped and it may be worth chancing VERRAZANO will benefit from the switch to this slightly slower surface. Kevin Ryan's filly has hinted at ability in two previous runs on polytrack and her pedigree suggests a drop back to sprint trips will suit.
Sapphire Girl makes her AW debut returning from an absence and has to be the call in a weak maiden. Verrazano could be her chief danger, though Silent Blessing went close here last week and is entitled to be involved again.

It wasn't that long ago that Opus Maximus was winning a turf handicap at Chester and he should continue to be a force at this lower level. However, with no previous form on fibresand, the safer bet looks to be MAJURO. The gelding is probably flattered by his official rating but his ability to handle this surface counts for a lot and he was impressive when routing the field at Wolverhampton recently. Elusive Warrior is always worth a second look at his favourite track but runs off unfavourable terms with the selection.
Last month's facile Wolverhampton winner Majuro is proven on this surface and looks very much the one to beat. Mark Johnston's pair Avonrose and Opus Maximus may give him most to think about.

BUZZ BIRD is yet to run a bad race on fibresand and, freshened up from a mini break, rates the one to beat. Olney Lass was a modest third last time but in this weaker race she wouldn't have to improve much upon that effort to be in the shake-up. Mr Emirati flopped on his handicap debut but remains unexposed and wouldn't be a shock winner if taking to fibresand. Lean Machine is another to consider.
Olney Lass and Buzz Bird have proved their worth on fibresand and could be the pair to concentrate on, with preference for the former given her guaranteed match fitness. Mr Emirati disappointed when going handicapping last time, but remains relatively unexposed and should figure if taking to the surface.

Love Delta sluiced up over 5f on Tuesday and looks ahead of the handicapper with a penalty on his back. This longer trip should suit but at the likely prices it may pay to chance IMPRIMIS TAGULA, who is closely matched with him on their 6f running earlier this month. Alan Bailey's gelding travels well on this surface and remains well treated on his best fibresand form. Ingleby Arch is another sand specialist but he has stamina to prove and looks booked for a supporting role at best.
Imprimis Tagula won over C&D off a 2 lb higher mark at about this time last year and having done little wrong on his most recent 2 starts gets the nod. Progressive Hulcote Rose looks dangerous provided she adapts to fibresand and Nightjar is another to make the shortlist.

The Redcar maiden which Benato The Great won in October has produced several subsequent fibresand winners but a mark of 65 seems harsh enough and he is opposed, despite this being his first run for 'sprint king' Dandy Nicholls. Punching knows what is required to win here but has struggled to win of late and the penalty-carrying pair of TAKAJAN and Desert Strike look the main contenders. The former won going away on his last run and can strike again whilst the yard are enjoying a purple patch.
Benato The Great is an interesting contender starting out in handicaps for Dandy Nicholls. However, proven fibresand performers Takajan and Desert Strike come into this at the top of their game and look safer options under their penalties.

The lightly raced Lalika holds solid place claims and should be winning sooner rather than later. Dandarrell and Rosewood Lad have both shown fair form over this trip and are others to consider in a competitive race for the grade.
Mush Mir will doubtless make a bold bid under his penalty if taking to the surface, but Dandarrell and Rosewood Lad have no questions to answer on that score and could offer better value.
