Elcanos has hardly set the world on fire since switching to the winter game but he was placed in a Group 3 on the Flat in Germany and runs off a handy mark here. However, it's worth taking a chance on Limerick 'bumper' winner KILLARY BAY, who has improved for each of his three runs over timber. A decent fifth at Cork latest, he might be up to scoring here.
Bumper winner Killary Bay has shaped as if capable of better in 3 runs over hurdles and Charlie Swan's representative is given the nod on handicap debut. Fayre Cross and Man of Principles look the most solid alternatives.

This can go the way of ARAUCARIA, winner of her first two starts over timber - both over 2m 4f - before finishing third in this grade over 2m at Down Royal. The decision to drop her to the minimum trip seemed to backfire and she can regain winning ways over this longer distance. Askanna has only been beaten once (finished second) in her seven starts between the flags, in 'bumpers' and over hurdles, and looks the one for the forecast despite this big step up in class. Chase winner Mossey Joe looks best of the rest.
Araucaria and Askanna bring the best form to the table in this Grade 3 novice and both seem sure to be suited by the step up to 3m, but the former looks open to the greater progression given her bumper form and is also in receipt of 3 lb. Fists of Fury can complete the 3.

He is sure to be well supported on his hurdling debut but the experience of THE BULL HAYES could give him the edge. The double Flat winner has finished a close second on both starts over timber and has very little to find to land this. Four Commanders, third at Thurles on his hurdling debut, might not be too far away and completes the shortlist.
Bishopsfurze ran to a smart level in bumpers last term and this exciting recruit to hurdling should be up to making a winning debut. The Bull Hayes and Four Commanders standout amongst the remainder.

Profit Margin, a winner between the flags in April, ran well for a long way before tiring when fifth over 2m 4f at Punchestown and could get a lot closer over this trip. House Rules was an impressive 'bumper' winner at Gowran Park last time and has sound claims on his hurdling debut but it's worth taking a chance on AN DRUMMER LIATH, who stayed on nicely once the penny dropped on his hurdling debut at Gowran Park last month. He should know more about the game now and could have the edge.
Another Cliche looked a mare to keep onside in bumpers last term and she should take advantage of the allowances in this. House Rules looks the biggest danger, and An Drummer Liath should make the places.

Willie Mullins has won the last three runnings of this race and the most recent of those, GOLDEN SILVER, can strike again. There was plenty to like about his second behind current champion chaser Big Zeb in a Grade 2 contest at Navan five weeks ago and that first outing since April is sure to have blown any cobwebs away. Zaarito oozes class and he seems sure to mount a bold bid if putting it all together while Scotsirish, Let Yourself Go and Osana add spice to a competitive renewal.

High-class bumper and hurdles performer BLAZING TEMPO made an impressive start to her chasing career when landing a Grade 3 contest over 2m4f at Clonmel last month and, with this shorter trip not a concern, she can follow up. Cool Quest was less than 2-lengths behind the selection that day (finishing second) and must go close again on 7lb better terms, while Back Of The Pack has yet to taste defeat in three starts over fences and adds to an exciting finale.
Blazing Tempo got the better of Cool Quest in a similar event at Clonmel in November, and though she is now worse off at the weights, she also looks open to improvement with that experience behind her so is taken to confirm those placings. Tramp Stamp will also be a threat if the emphasis is on speed.
