Following a promising introduction to hurdles when second at Cork recently, KILLEANEY BEAR can open his account. The Andrew Slattery-trained gelding jumped and travelled well through that race, keeping on nicely to take minor honours. With the benefit of that experience to call upon, the three-time Flat winner should be good enough to get off the mark over jumps here. Disappointing on his hurdling debut at Killarney in May, the Denis Hogan-trained Tatateo ran much better second time up when finishing third at Punchestown last month. He, too, should be all the better for those initial outings. Barrow Ranger has also shown enough to suggest that he can get involved for Shark and Paddy Hanlon.

An encouraging fifth in the Ladies Derby at the Curragh last time, she returns to jumping off a potentially lenient handicap mark. Given her proven turn of foot, the five-year-old should be ideally suited to the make up of this race. SHADOWS OF MY MIND was well backed on debut at Tipperary last autumn when just failing to score for Pat Doyle. The form of that bumper hasn't worked out particularly well since, but the daughter of Jukebox Jury has since joined the champion trainer and it will be interesting to see how strong she is in the market following an absence of nine months. Sing My Story is far more experienced having run in point-to-points, bumpers and over hurdles. She put in a solid effort last time when fifth behind the selection's stablemate Al Arrivee over C&D and looks the chief threat. Point-to-point winner Richieandsams Lady makes her debut under Rules.
