BIG TIME DANCER was completely unfancied when battling it out for third at Wetherby in the novices' hurdle won by Kalashnikov, and he can build on that promising performance here. The soft ground was perhaps a disadvantage for him that day and a sounder surface here can see him play a much more prominent role here. Bulkov produced a career best over hurdles last time at Hexham and could build on that now, while local handlers Chris Grant and Rebecca Menzies turn out Drums Of War and Porto Du Sud and any market support for either should be noted.

BIG TIME DANCER showed a clear aptitude for hurdling when third to a well-regarded one at Wetherby earlier this month, and that could be form to follow. Bulkov sets the standard for a yard that has been amongst the winners of late, while smart Flat performer Chookie Royale is an interesting recruit to hurdles despite being off a year.

The veterans Red Danaher and Harry Hunt are respected here, especially the latter who was a brave winner on heavy ground at Ayr last time. However, preference is for the course and distance winner CABRAGH who has not been seen since finishing last season with a series of placed efforts, and he is backed to return in likeable fashion here for Sam and Jonathan England. Vinnie Lewis was well backed at Chepstow last time and is another to be considered.

CRACKING FIND appreciated the drop back down in trip when given an excellent aggressive ride by Danny Cook at Newcastle 11 days ago and the handicapper has given him every chance of doubling up having only awarded him an extra 2lb. Derintoher Yank has been in excellent form of late and posted a career best when runner-up to Nuts Well at Carlisle in a graduation chase so warrants the utmost respect here, while Barrys Jack cannot be discounted as he bids for the four-timer.
