AINCHEA only found one too good in a Cheltenham bumper on his racecourse debut in October and that form gives the four-year-old a massive chance. Get Out The Gate was an impressive winner of an Irish point-to-point in May and he has subsequently joined the yard of Paul Nicholls. Just A Sting and Whatswrongwithyou add further spice to what could well be a race worth following.

A field full of quality and a race that wouldn't look out of place at any of the spring Festivals with the lowest rated member of the field being 149 and, barring Sceau Royal, all are unbeaten over fences so far. Finian's Oscar is 2-2 over the larger obstacles and was impressive when giving away 8lb to Movewiththetimes at Cheltenham over 2m4f last month. However, on both his chasing starts to date he has taken time to warm to the task and, with a strong pace guaranteed, he cannot be sticky early on and lose any sort of ground. North Hill Harvey will ensure a good gallop and has shown an excellent attitude for chasing having won both his starts at Cheltenham, the first of those beating Sceau Royal, so he could get one or two of these into trouble over the Railway Fences if continuing in the same vein of form. That said, it was difficult not to be impressed by BRAIN POWER as he made the perfect beginning to life as a chaser when thrashing War Sound by 28 lengths at Kempton and he follows the exact same route as his illustrious stable companion Altior. He looked a different proposition looking more settled on that occasion and can give trainer Nicky Henderson his fourth win in the race.

Nicky Henderson has won this four times in the last 10 years, including last year with Brain Power who went on to become one of the Seven Barrows stable stars. This time around he saddles the highly regarded Jenkins who despite flopping over hurdles as a novice was sent off 5-1 for the Greatwood Hurdle when finishing seventh. The fifth in that race William H Bonney has to be given plenty of respect and a 2lb lower mark here is a massive plus for the six-year-old with a one in three strike-rate, while Irish raider Crossed My Mind has to be considered with Barry Geraghty booked in the plate. However, preference goes to Sandown specialist RAYVIN BLACK, who can roll back the years from a mark off 135 - 2lb lower than when scoring here in January 2016 and some 14lb lower than when at the peak of his powers. Regular pilot Tom Garner removes a further 3lb and he should be fighting fit having tuned up in a Kempton Listed contest. Exitas is interesting switching back to hurdles having been in fine form over fences recently and Fidux is another must for the shortlist having been in the process of running a huge race over course and distance last time before being desperately unlucky and unseating Kevin Dowling at the last.

In little over 12 months FOX NORTON has gone from a 146-rated handicapper to a proven Group One performer now rated 169 and Colin Tizzard's versatile chaser was in rude health when hosing up in deplorable ground at Cheltenham in the Shloer Chase three weeks ago. A win here could catapult him to the head of the Venn Farm King George pecking order and top Irish jockey Robbie Power could successfully reacquaint himself with the improving seven-year-old. Paul Nicholls has been synonymous with this contest in recent times and he saddles two here, with his exciting free-running Haldon Gold Cup winner Politologue leading the Ditcheat charge. He didn't put a foot wrong at Exeter and it would be no surprise if he was still on the up. Sir Valentino took the contest San Benedeto flopped in when favourite at Ascot last time and the Champion Chase third could be one for each-way punters, while Ar Mad looked the epitome of a two-mile chaser when destroying Bristol De Mai over course and distance as a novice and a return to that level of form after his well-documented issues can see him also get involved.

DOING FINE bids to gain compensation for his neck defeat to Rocky Creek in this contest 12 months ago. He rolls up on an 11lb higher perch this time but he has progressed for Neil Mulholland in the interim and suggested this extreme test could again bring out the best in him when making late headway for third over 3m1f at Cheltenham latest. Sugar Baron remains on a workable mark at present and if first-time blinkers help him improve his jumping he could feasibly figure. At bigger prices, recent Southern National scorer Cresswell Breeze and Benbens, who is 2lb lower than when third in the Scottish National last term, have each-way possibilities.
