That form was boosted when the runner-up took the minor honours in a competitive handicap at Glorious Goodwood, so he might be worth following from a 5lb higher mark. The hat-trick seeking Passover avoids a penalty for his seven-length Epsom victory and is a leading danger, but Party Royal and Lu's Buddy also have to enter calculations in their current mood.

It is interesting to see COSMOPOLITAN GIRL drop in trip after she ran on strongly over six furlongs at Newmarket, but that effort has been boosted by the third running well at Goodwood next time so she shades the vote. Alshalaal looked to improve significantly when fitted with blinkers for the first time at Haydock and is a big player if that headgear continues to do the trick. Dream Destination faced an unenviable task against Nisser on his debut and can do better with a run under his belt.

COSMOPOLITAN GIRL was all the better for her debut when runner-up at Newmarket and can go one better with further improvement on the way. Alshalaal looked transformed by first-time blinkers when second at Haydock and is the obvious threat.

The winner from that race has gone well in a conditions event since so the form seems solid and he is tough to oppose. Ronnie Baird and Ride The Lightning shaped like they would both improve for their first outings and shouldn't be overlooked. Of the newcomers, Bag of Diamonds is respected for the champion trainer, while Brorocco is a half-brother to Elm Park.

It was impossible not to be impressed with the way PERRAULT destroyed his rivals at Chepstow, where he missed the kick but powered clear in the closing stages. The form has been boosted since and he shades the vote ahead of Muqtaser, who has performed admirably in defeat in a brace of Newmarket handicaps and represents a yard in flying form. Indelible Ink did well to break his duck here last month and commands respect, and Zamperini also enters calculations.

GOTHIC EMPIRE didn't enjoy the clearest of passages at Newmarket, but ran on well to grab third in the closing stages. He has been dropped 3lb and looks sure to make a bold bid. Fruity ran out a convincing winner of a small-field event at Leicester but needs to pull out slightly more in this deeper race. Big Whisky took a step in the right direction here a fortnight ago, and it would come as no surprise to see an improved showing from Ustinov, who is dropping down the weights.
