LUCY MINAJ made a pleasing debut when runner-up here in May and she is sure to have improved a good deal since then. She might be able to go one better this afternoon. Montcliffe has shaped with promise on both of his starts to date and is respected along with Sharjah and Miss Perfect who should both improve for their respective debut efforts. Muharrib is a very interesting newcomer.
Izzy Boy and Lucy Minaj look best of those with experience but it would be no surprise to see Muharrib go close first time up at a track his yard has had a good record at over the years.

PEARL WAR sets the standard on official ratings and although she was a little disappointing on her reappearance at Windsor last month, it is likely that she is capable of better. Gladsome has been knocking on the door and there is no reason why she should not run another big race along with Legal Bone. Diamond Belle shaped nicely on the second of her three runs as a juvenile and she is another to consider on her return.
The step up to 7f should suit Legal Bond and he is taken to improve past Gladsome. In contrast, Newmarket raider Pearl War is expected to benefit from a return to shorter and could prove the chief threat.

It is difficult to assess AZRAG's form in Bahrain but confidence behind her him at this level, on his first run for Gerard Butler, would be interesting and he would not have to be a superstar to go close. Danehillsundance has the highest official rating in the line-up but it would be unwise to treat that too literally and he has a lay-off to overcome. Jack Dawkins has major claims if putting his best foot forward.
The betting market is the best starting point in a race with so many imponderables, the returning class-dropper Danehillsundance being the main point of interest. Arabian import Azrag was at least in good heart when last seen in April and is awarded a tentative vote ahead of Jack Dawkins.

KUNG HEI FAT CHOY has won two Southwell handicaps in fine style and although he has been raised a total of 13lb for those wins, he could still take plenty of beating here if translating that improved form to turf. Magic Destiny is also on a hat-trick, following wins at Haydock and Doncaster, and she has to be respected in her current mood. Beverley maiden winner, Voice From Above, is also respected making her handicap debut.
Kung Hei Fat Choy has been transformed by blinkers when running away with a couple of fibresand handicaps last month and will take some stopping if translating that improvement back to turf. Voice From Above and Magic Destiny are others that remain unexposed and look the most likely to benefit if the selection fails to deliver.

In a wide open contest. she gets a tentative verdict over Xclaim, who has been raised 4lb for his Pontefract success last time. Law To Himself is back on his last winning handicap mark and should not be left out of calculations.
Quite a few in with chances, none more so than Xclaim who took time to knuckle down before getting off the mark at Pontefract recently. He remains relatively unexposed and can follow up, though Cottam Donny and Strike Force will ensure he does not get things all his own way.
