TOO SCOOPS is very much respected for Henry De Bromhead and Davy Russell in the opener having shaped with plenty of promise on his hurdling debut at Gowran Park the last day. The son of Alderbrook takes a step into the unknown on forecast good ground this afternoon but connections will have garnered much encouragement from that effort behind Maxim Gorky and there should be more to come. Gold Ability arrives boasting a similar profile for Michael O'hare and might be of particular interest to each-way players at the right price, while the threatening Moiqen rates best of the rest.
A stronger maiden than most at this time of year. Too Scoops impressed with his jumping first time out and is likely to go from the front, but he may not have quite enough class to hold off the more patiently ridden Ted Veale. If the aforementioned pair fail to fire, Gold Ability appeals as the most likely to pick up the pieces.

Lough Ferrib arrives race-fit following his performances on the level and is interesting under Davy Russell but Red Calima is feared most on his return to the handicap ranks after bolting up in a Wexford maiden latest.
Sir Ector would be of serious interest if getting a run, but the vote goes to Ballyhoura who belatedly got off the mark in this sphere at Wexford last time and may have more to offer. TANDEM looks rock solid in the maiden finale and the son of Dansili wouldn't have to improve an awful lot on his racecourse debut at Naas last month. This isn't the greatest renewal on paper and Dermot Weld's charge looked a horse with a promising future that day in a race which has since thrown some useful performances, albeit in defeat. Of the others, Exact is entitled to have improved for his debut and could go better in the first-time cheekpieces while look out for Curia Regis, who continues to show steady progression for David Marnane.
