A pretty modest opener where ALLIED KID looks the likeliest winner after finishing runner-up the last twice. Maximus Marcus trailed the selection in fourth in August and can pick up the minor honours, while a big run from Maximus Marcus cannot be discounted now she drops into claiming class.
SCAMPER sold for six figures as a juvenile and could be tough to stop now making a significant drop in grade. Tabella can give the selection plenty to think about if stripping fitter for her latest outing, and any market support behind the newcomer Whitearl could prove noteworthy.
The return to claiming company can make a big difference to BURN PERMIT's chances after that contender failed to fire in September. The dropped-in-grade Miss Lauren Ann is feared most, but it would be foolish to write off Eufaula after a disappointing seasonal reappearance.
HARLINGTON ROMANCE reverts to dirt after a couple of disappointing efforts on turf and is backed to return to form. Lady Mickelson and Seven Storms were closely matched when taking the minor honours (in that order) last month, and look capable of getting on the premises again.
This looks to be a toss up between PROUD VIXEN and recent winner Rosie's Faith, with the former just shading the vote now she drops in grade. Groovy Dancer has had a frustrating season but might do better with her sights lowered.
DIANNECANTRETIRE couldn't live up to market expectations when reeled in at this track in September. He could prove too strong for these rivals, though, and gets the vote over Blushing Humor and Love For Scarlett.
THIS AIN'T NO BULL returned to form when landing a valuable stakes contest at Philadelphia latest and is expected to follow up in this weaker contest. Didn't Take It and Myth Master are the pair expected to put up most resistance.
TRAFFIC LIGHT rattled the crossbar over 1m at Laurel last time and wouldn't need to improve much on that level of form in order to score. The consistent Classic Giacnroll and Grasshoppin are closely matched on their course clash last month and both have place possibilities.
Bluegrass Chat landed minor money over a route here last month and has place claims if running to a similar level of form this evening. However, KISS OF THUNDER and Wise Mac look the pair to focus on after dead-heating here last month. The selection is the least exposed of the pair so gets the verdict.
JAR OF HEARTS arrives on a hat-trick and is difficult to oppose in her present mood with conditions known to suit. Cinderella's Mind, second behind the selection latest, has place claims along with Primo Via.
CASHIE'S WAY has been knocking hard on the door at a higher level and rates the one to beat now her sights have been lowered. Orange'n Black and Phantom Flight can battle it out for the silver medal.
