Plymouth Square helps set the form standard and has place claims if reproducing his recent C&D third but it may be worth siding with newcomer APACHE TRAIL, who has clocked some pleasing times during home workouts and wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary to open his account at the first time of asking here. One Nice Rae completes the shortlist.
BANK'N ON GOLD sauntered to victory over C&D last month and would take all of the beating if reproducing that effort tonight, albeit in slightly stronger company. Omega Girl had Threetimesawonder behind over 6f here last time and both have place possibilities here over this shorter trip.
BAYONNE scored over a route here last time, arrives here right on top of her game, and is taken to complete a four-timer while evidently at one with herself. Monica C C and Whenthetimeisright are others to consider but are probably vying for place money at best.
Framed is holding his form well at present and is expected to finish on the premises but for win purposes, preference is for QUAY LIME GUY, who sauntered to victory over 7f at Laurel last time and promises to be suited by this longer trip. Dan's My Man completes the shortlist.
VILLAS STORM arrives here in peak form and is taken to complete a hat-trick over his optimum trip. The reliable Twisted Heart looks the best option for the forecast with Asfatewouldhaveit, third behind the last-named here latest, also considered.
The drop in grade could elicit improvement from Thebes but he hasn't looked like getting his head in front of late and is thus opposed with GATOR CHAMP, who was beaten by just a nose over C&D on his penultimate outing. Wright Rendezvous also merits inclusion on the shortlist.
WINILISCIOUS ran a debut full of promise when second here last month and is expected to go one better with the benefit of that initial experience now behind her. Lawless Miss and Wildcat Thunder can battle it out for the minor honours.
FRANCESCO RULES looks set to take charge in this $75,000 event and, with Ill Conceived and Traffic Light behind at this track last time out, the gelded son of Roman Ruler is expected to go very close. Runnin Bull is another to take seriously at the shortlist stage.
AWESOME ENCORE boasts a formidable record at this track (five wins and two placed efforts from eight starts) and now dropped in class, the four-year-old can make a winning return. One Shot and Forest Meadow makes most appeal of the others.
