HINTERLAND is current market leader for the Triumph Hurdle next March so will need to score here with a level of authority to maintain that status. This looks a fairly ordinary renewal and the Nicholls charge should be more than capable of following up a comfortable success here last time over Hollow Tree, a winner since. Tango De Juilley and Baby Mix are interesting French imports for their respective yards and should be monitored accordingly in the market. Irish invader Canna looks next best for the Elliott team but he'll need to improve on previous efforts to trouble the selection.
Hinterland was impressive starting out for Paul Nicholls here last month and will be tough to beat again. Fellow French import Baby Mix looks interesting starting out for Tom George, while expensive ex-Irish Flat performer Highly Efficient also commands plenty of respect.

A chance can be afforded to all seven in a fabulous renewal but JOIN TOGETHER is a guaranteed stayer who generally jumped well when outpointing subsequent scorer, Teaforthree, here last time. He is just preferred to Mossley, although the latter will have to fence with greater fluency than when landing an egg and spoon affair at Kempton on his chasing debut. He was a very talented hurdler though and Nicky Henderson is normally loathe to overface his novice chasers. Old Wigmore created a good impression when scoring at Exeter and should go well along with Champion Court in a fascinating affair.
Join Together and Champion Court have achieved the most over fences but Mossley was the best of these over hurdles and has the potential to be at least as good in this sphere.

Competitive stuff and Tanks For That will no doubt be popular after a decisive success here last time. However, he's been put up 9lb for that victory and runner-up Havingotascoobydo is weighted to get closer here. It may be worth chancing ASTRACAD, sent straight into open handicap company after being the only one to give Al Ferof any sort of a race here last time. This looks his trip and he's on a fair mark for this handicap bow. Dave's Dream has claims if coming back to form whilst Rileyev looks temptingly weighted too after a battling Newbury success.
A competitive event but Astracad has taken really well to fences this term and gets the vote in a race connections would dearly love to win. Havingotascoobydo and Rileyev head a host of potential dangers.

Hard to assess the quality on offer on available evidence but HALLEY can score on his first outing for Tom George in the UK. He landed a Grade 1 contest over fences for the yard in France last time and rates an interesting prospect reverting to timber. Rev It Up steps up in class but has looked a performer capable of operating at a higher level the last twice and travelled really well latest when obliging at Ffos Las. Deireadh Re must have improvement to come, whilst Sea Of Thunder is interesting stepped up in trip for his shrewd yard.
Halley scooped a big prize in a Grade 1 chase on his first start for Tom George at Auteuil last month and will be tough to beat if he can reproduce that level back hurdling. Deireadh Re is the obvious threat, only undone by his lack of experience having looked all over the winner at Ascot last time.

It's interesting to see AP on Sunnyhillboy rather than QUANTITATIVEEASING but it's the latter who makes the greater appeal after an excellent effort behind Great Endeavour in the Paddy Power here last time. This looks an excellent opportunity for OSCAR WHISKY to get back on the winning track after his last flight departure at Ascot, having ranged alongside eventual winner, Overturn, at the last. He turned into a really high class performer last term, highlighted by an excellent Champion Hurdle third behind Hurricane Fly. Nicky Henderson is talking of taking on Big Buck's later this term and the son of Oscar should be good enough here. Any Given Day should certainly earn some money after a resilient Haydock success in a competitive hurdle under topweight with the progressive The Knoxs looking next best.
Oscar Whisky has to concede weight to most of his rivals but still looks a cut above. Any Given Day and Get Me Out of Here can battle it out for minor honours.
