Representing the highly respected Gordon Elliott stable, he showed a likeable attitude when beating subsequent scorer White Feathers in maiden company over 2m3f at Kilbeggan last time and this longer trip is unlikely to cause any problems. Uttoxeter scorer An Capall Mor should give it a good go from the front end.

This prize looks LORD REDSGIRTH's for the taking. The offspring of Flemensfirth will arrive full of confidence having readily landed a three-runner contest over an extended 2m4f here last month and this longer trip shouldn't be an inconvenience with the ground riding much quicker. Degas Art faces no easy task shouldering top-weight, but he is a class act on his day and must come into the reckoning, while Thelobstercatcher would have a chance if recapturing his best hurdles form.
Lord Redsgirth won well here last time and he is fancied to defy a penalty on this first try at 3m. Thelobstercatcher can emerge as the biggest danger.

Makhzoon is best off at these weights and should mount a bold bid in what represents his easiest assignment to date, while Long Distance makes plenty of appeal having gamely won in this company at Carlisle 40 days ago. The vote, however, goes to Gordon Elliott's WESTERN BOUND. The 11-year-old has won both of his previous visits to the Perth, in April and May last year, and drops into claiming company for the first time this afternoon.
This looks a match between Makhzoon and Western Bound, with the former narrowly preferred.

He has cracking record at this venue (won three and been placed twice from five visits) and proved to be in good heart when beating subsequent winner Zitenka over an extended 2m4f here latest. Quite The Man is only 2lb higher than when striking over C&D in September and can figure prominently on his return from a 91-day break, while St Killian's Run has every chance if on a going day.
Gordon Elliott's runners are always feared here and a chance is taken that the refitting of blinkers will see St Killian's Run return to form. Kai Broon and Quite The Man are a couple of others to consider.

Locked Inthepocket returned to form over C&D latest and has definite claims of this 3lb higher mark, but SITTING TENNANT looks the most likely winner. A Grade 2 bumper winner when with Howard Johnson, he made a promising debut for new connections when runner-up behind the progressive Cool Baranca over an extended 2m here last month and may improve for that first start in 14 months. Handicap debutant Boruler is another with claims.
C&D winner Locked Inthepocket looks to be going the right way and may still be ahead of the handicapper. He looks the most likely winner, with Sitting Tennant and Boruler appealing as the chief dangers.

GROOVY DANCER is fancied to strike on her handicap debut under Henry Brooke, one of the more accomplished jockeys in this race. Endeavor has enjoyed a successful year already, winning three times, and warrants respect under 7lb claimer Ryan Clark, while Carlisle scorer Toledo Gold is another to consider.

It usually requires an above-average sort to defy a penalty in this type of event and SHANEN looks just that. Pauline Robson's charge was mightily impressive when putting 15-lengths between him and his rivals at Sedgefield 16 days ago and there is a big chance that he will improve for that first start since October '10. Separate Shadows is sure to go close if stepping forward from his runner-up finish at Bangor last month, while Buffalo Ballet and Sharivarry make up the shortlist.
A penalty is unlikely to stop recent Sedgefield winner Shanen going close but he may struggle to concede the weight to Donald McCain's Separate Shadows, who shaped well on last month's Bangor debut. Mason David Brown is an interesting newcomer from a yard with a good record in these events.
