Hydrant had Togetherwecan less than a couple of lengths behind him when the pair met at Yarmouth recently and the filly could turn around that form with a 7lb swing in the weights when her rider's claim is taken into account. That said, they could both struggle against INDIAN CHIEF, who bolted up at Chepstow on Tuesday and a 6lb penalty is unlikely to stop him from going in once again today.

Watch out for: Togetherwecan (7)

INDIAN CHIEF is a temperamental sort but he's hard to get away from following his wide-margin win at Chepstow on Tuesday and he will prove hard to beat under a penalty if in the same form. Hydrant and Togetherwecan appeal most of the remainder.

Mightaswellsmile arguably sets the standard based on her close second at Redcar two starts ago but she needs to bounce back from a moderate effort last time. The preference is for TURANGA LEELA, who was also not at her best when last seen but it was still a decent effort. Her two performances prior to that run would give the daughter of Paco Boy a big chance. Biologist is worth a look in the market, having been well supported on debut, while Jakastar looks to be the pick of the newcomers.

It was not the strongest of races that Balmusette won at Redcar a couple of weeks ago but the mare merits respect having been put up just 3lb in the ratings. HURRY HOME POPPA won this race two years ago and he has run consistently well in the majority of his subsequent starts. That includes a win at Doncaster last month and he was not beaten far in a class 4 event at the same venue a few weeks later. Others to make the shortlist are Arthurs Secret, Frosty The Snowman and King Of Paradise.

Today is his fourth run in less than a month, but this is not a strong contest and he is hard to oppose. If there were to be a surprise then it could be produced by Bigger And Better, who bombed out on the all-weather last time but had been progressive on turf prior to that. Farham has dropped back to his last winning mark and is another to note.

BIGGER AND BETTER probably did too much too soon over a longer trip at Kempton last time and he is worth another chance to prove himself on a good mark. Viserion arrives in a rich vein of form and can't be ruled out despite the drop in trip being a concern.

Each of his three performances this year have been encouraging, including twice here, and this represents an easier assignment than when third on her handicap debut at Newmarket last time. Patent steps up in trip for his handicap bow and might prove better than a mark of 63, while Ravens Quest and Blacklister are others to keep an eye on.

GIANT SPARK backed up his facile Redcar success with a neck defeat at Hamilton and, although a further 6lb rise will obviously make life more difficult, he looks sure to be in the firing line again. Ruth Carr has her string in good form at the moment and her Magical Effect has shown enough in three maiden starts to suggest that she can go close on her handicap debut, while Regal Parade, Honcho and past C&D scorer Ambitious Icarus add further spice to the race.

GIANT SPARK was unable to follow up his Redcar success, though still ran well to finish second at Hamilton last month. He's low-mileage and could yet have more to offer for his shrewd handler so gets the nod. Honcho and Regal Parade are 2 of the likelier threats.
