DEPUTY JUD was a brave second with top weight in the Derby recently and that should give him a big say in this. He has yet to win at this track. MASTER'S EYE is ridden by master rider Doug Whyte and both look certain to be right there from a decent draw. Verdict

ZODIAC RULER lost valuable ground at the start but produced a powerful finish to win his debut so could be anything. UNAGI won impressively in open company and is showing he could be one for the future. He secured a decent draw. MISTY BIRNAM has improved with each start and ran away from his field last. PALLADIUM is unbeaten in two here but has drawn wide. Lovely race.

Verdict

Tough race with many unknowns as quite a few try the polytrack. It should get close between VINCENTE and CAPTURED WIND after both ran decent races at Turffontein. ISCA is back to his best trip and from draw two must be taken seriously. But he takes a big drop in trip. SPLENDID GARDEN and GUINESS have class and could overcome wide draws. ALEXIS is on a roll and won the Grade 2 S A Fillies Guineas over this track and trip as a three-year-old so has no stamina doubts. Her stable is in hot form. CAPTAIN CHAOS won a nice race on track debut and may be back to his very best. He was top of the juveniles in the West Cape.
