ROCK 'N' ROLLER was no match for the smart Mille Chief at Huntingdon last time but shaped with plenty of promise in finishing third in that Huntington event. The form looks strong and Gary Moore's 6-y-o is fancied to open his account over timber. Fellow handicap debutants Osric and Henry King, both of whom have produced their best efforts at this venue, rate as obvious dangers while Coeur De Fou is less exposed than Zafranagar and can reverse their Cheltenham form from November.
There was plenty to like about the way Arctic Ben travelled at Kempton last month and, given he'll probably be sharper for that run, gets the nod in a wide-open affair. There could well be more to come from easy Bangor scorer Acknowledgement, while Coeur de Fou is threatening to hit the bullseye before long.

TRABOLGAN returns to the scene of his finest hour and can reward connections' persistence. It looked like retirement beckoned when the 2005 Hennessy hero kept meeting setbacks but he showed plenty of zest when fourth at Cheltenham and was still in contention before unseating Barry Geraghty most recently. Eric's Charm is another who proved he is no back number on his latest outing, while Gone To Lunch goes well here and isn't without a shout at his best.
Trabolgan looked the most likely winner until unseating 4 out at Doncaster last time, and the 2005 Hennessey hero represents the class act here provided he stays on his feet. Briery Fox is coming back to form and holds solid enough each-way claims, whilst Gone To Lunch shouldn't be dismissed given his good record at this track.

Paul Nicholls has won three of the last four runnings of this race and has a strong hand again here with Big Fella Thanks and Pasco. The former's main target is the Grand National but he was in the process running a big race when falling 2 out at Kempton last month and cannot be ruled out here, while the latter is much better than his effort at Exeter in December and he's the choice of Ruby Walsh. Battlecry has been knocking on the door and a rejuvenated Our Vic warrants the utmost respect. The latter has no margin for error under top weight, however, and the tentative vote goes to CAN'T BUY TIME. Another who is Aintree bound, he stayed on well to land a Grade 3 handicap at HQ on New Year's Day and, with a strong pace likely again today, he can defy a 6lb rise in the ratings.
By no means a strong race for the money, with quite a few appearing in the grip of the handicapper. That isn't the case with Big Fella Thanks, but over this trip he's taken on with Can't Buy Time, who probably hasn't finished improving. Battlecry shouldn't be underestimated, either.

If Helens Vision could repeat the performance that saw her account for Champion Hurdle fancy Khyber Kim in the 2008 Gerry Feilden here, she would be nailed on. But recent efforts suggest she isn't the force of old and she lacks the scope for improvement of MARC AURELE, who got closest to Riverside Theatre here under a year ago and starts handicap life on a handy rating. Nearby is another open to progression and should reverse Taunton form with Karky Schultz.
Every chance a hold-up performer will gain the day with the presence of so many front runners, and it would be no surprise if Marc Aurele became the latest in a long line from his yard to benefit from a breathing operation. However, Nearby should have things set up nicely for him and he can regain the winning thread at the chief expense of Arctic Wings.

Aiteen Thirtythree is yet to live up to his lofty reputation and probably won't do so until he tackles fences. His last-start conqueror did nothing for the form at Haydock and he is passed over in favour of ARKOSE, who found only Nicky Henderson's Finian's Rainbow too strong at Ascot latest and meets nothing of that ilk here. Henderson relies on Be There In Five here, although his Bangor effort hinted that three miles may be too far at this stage of his career.
Arkose has long since left the impression he'll be suited by this trip and can edge out Aiteen Thirtythree and Be There In Five.

ROCK ON RUBY had something in hand when touching off Karasenir at Taunton and can confirm his superiority, despite a 5lb weight reversal. Barry Geraghty's presence on board The White Admiral would suggest that he is the pick of the Nicky Henderson brigade although, interestingly, his stablemate Blue Monster has been given a Champion Bumper entry. Oliver Sherwood knows Bianco Fuji's family well and market support for Tony McCoy's mount could be significant on her debut.
Nicky Henderson runs 3, including The White Admiral, who's likely to take some beating if building on his debut effort in a classy affair at Sandown. Support for ex-Irish stablemate Blue Monster would suggest he could be an improved performer for his new handler, though. Karasenir has place prospects again.
