It is difficult to looks past CRYSTAL PEARL given she ran behind a talented juvenile on her Limerick debut over hurdles and has since finished runner-up in a maiden at Leopardstown. Lining up in receipt of weight from the boys, she boasts sound claims with experience under her belt, and the booking of Davy Russell screams confidence. Sam Red can build on a decent performance on debut at Gowran Park, and Hoodoo Brown cannot be dismissed on his first start either.

Watch out for: Sam Red (5)

SAM RED was unlucky not to finish closer when third on hurdling debut at Gowran 2 weeks ago and looks a banker for a maiden, so is very hard to oppose. Crystal Pearl is also open to progress, but this test is a bare minimum for her, with Skilled an interesting hurdling recruit for Gordon Elliott.

Jim Dreaper's seven-year-old displayed marked improvement when filling the runner-up spot on his latest outing at Fairyhouse and connections have found him a real opening. Dancing Meadows brings some useful bumper from to the table on her hurdling bow and is feared most, while others to consider are Badgerfort and Dallas Cowboy.

The verdict is for MINE NOW, who produced a career-best effort when dropped back to this trip at Fairyhouse. Peter Fahey's charge is winless from eight attempts over timber but he looked to be going in the right direction at the County Meath track and this wouldn't be the strongest of races. Top-weight Knocklong must be respected for his shrewd connections, but 2012 Irish National hero Lion Na Bearnai is feared most on the back of an encouraging Fairyhouse spin over fences.

This trip is a bare minium for LION NA BEARNAI, but he is thrown in on his chase form so is well worth siding with despite the fact he is a long-standing maiden over timber. Handicap debutant Flemenstorm is fairly treated on his opening run, with Mine Now likely to give his running.

AZORIAN is winless from two starts over fences but lost little in defeat at the hands of the The Tullow Tank at Fairyhouse before finding Grade Two company too hot at Punchestown in November. A recent spin over timber at Clonmel will have put him spot-on for this assignment and he finished in and around some top-class hurdlers last season. The son of Westerner should prove too classy for the likes of Riverside City and Rudolf.

GLENQUEST showed no signs of throwing the towel in when easing to a five-length Down Royal success last month and, a close third in the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow the time before that, the switch back to fences shouldn't faze the 12-year-old. Letter Of Credit ran with plenty of enthusiasm for second at Gowran Park on his latest start and finished second in Listed company just three runs back. No Secrets completes the shortlist.

Keep On Track makes plenty of appeal after beating several of these rivals on his first start for new connections at Down Royal. However, that race rather fell into his lap and his main target is reportedly a cross-country race at Punchestown so perhaps he is best watched. WHITE ARM chased him home in the north, but showed much improved form on that occasion and gets the vote. His stablemate Five O'clock Tea (also entered on Saturday) has to enter calculations if taking his chance, though, as he was travelling well when brought down in the same race. Mr Cosmopolitan completes the shortlist after scoring at Clonmel.

Watch out for: Keep On Track (2)

MR COSMOPOLITAN's jumping remains a concern, but he got off the mark at Clonmel 10 days ago and looks well treated back handicapping. He's preferred to fellow last-time-out winner Keep On Track, who had several of these behind when scoring at Down Royal, while White Arm is in very good hands and remains unexposed.
