The veteran, BLUE TOMATO, seems to have found a new lease of life this year. He met all sorts of problems in running last time at Hamilton and that run can be safely ignored. Before that, he scored twice over this C&D, once in a valuable handicap, and he can score again back in this grade. Grudge could certainly take this at his best but his long absence is a worry and Glenlini, second in a decent maiden over C&D, looks a bigger threat.

This looks the ideal opportunity for HELIEORBEA to break his duck at the third time of asking. His two runs to date - both at Beverley - have seen him finish third and second, improving greatly in the process. He should prove far too good here for these rivals. Gaselee has shown ability on the all-weather and would have claims if acting on turf while Moon Money showed enough on his debut at Doncaster to come into the reckoning.

Although somewhat flattered by his form figures, Paradise Dream looked a progressive sort until the wheels came off the wagon at Nottingham on his third start. He needs his best here but even that might not be enough to overcome VILNIUS, a good winner at Catterick on her second start and not beaten far when second in this grade at Redcar. She should have improved enough to land this. Eternal Instinct looks best of the rest.

MOHAWK RIDGE is beginning to get the hang of things after an unspectacular start to his career. Michael Dods' charge followed up a silver medal at Thirsk with a staying on third at Hamilton latest and looks as though his turn is around the corner. Island Chief is more exposed but has continued to run well since obliging over 7f here in May and rates the danger. Handicap debutant Magical Destiny and Hawkeyethenoo make most appeal of the remainder.
