IM TOO GENEROUS returned to action with a comprehensive success over timber here, which will have set him up nicely for a profitable chasing campaign. He is comparatively well treated in this sphere and can account for Buckled, who showed his appreciation for the return to fences by winning as he liked over C&D. Chanceanotherfive should relish reverting from hurdles, and Stop The World is interesting following a wind operation.
BENNY'S SECRET (due to run here on Saturday) wasn't seen to best effect under another overly-patient ride over C&D last time and is worth another chance off this sort of mark. Buckled bounced back to form in good style when winning over C&D last month and is next best ahead of Im Too Generous.

Goa Lil impressed when making every post a winning one at Kempton, but he was previously a couple of positions adrift of THYME WHITE at the same circuit. Paul Nicholls' juvenile was no match for Triumph Hurdle fancy Goshen on his British bow, but his Kempton effort was much more encouraging and he can continue to progress. Group Stage didn't disgrace himself at Cheltenham and, at longer odds, Anna Bunina could be worth a look because she is rated in the 80s on the level.
GOA LIL reacted well to a change to front-running tactics when successful at Kempton last month and he could be the answer to what is an open listed contest. Group Stage and Thyme White are probably the main threats of those with hurdles form, though Anna Bunina warrants consideration given her Flat ability.

FRED took a brief while to find his feet after arriving at Nicky Henderson's with a good reputation but he put it all together at Kempton on Boxing Day and if he improves again as expected, this could even tee him up for a tilt at Cheltenham's Supreme Novices' Hurdle. Wild Max is yet to put a foot wrong for Paul Nicholls and is the primary threat, although it is a hot little race and Irish raider Construct has to be given plenty of consideration too.
WILD MAX has made a most promising start to his career over hurdles, and with his debut form looking strong, he's very much one to keep onside now taking on better opposition. Sebastopol has loads of ability too so he commands plenty of respect back from a break, with Kempton-scorer Fred another firmly in the mix.

SAINT XAVIER was a classy chaser in France so it is no surprise that David Maxwell added him to his burgeoning squad of Gallic recruits. Paul Nicholls has kept the eight-year-old to the smaller obstacles so far but he looked the part at Kempton and although connections harbour Grand National aspirations, there are more races in him in this sphere first. Some Chaos is better known for his fencing exploits so I K Brunel and Baron De Midleton should give the selection most to worry about.
